This week’s Pick of the Week is for the band Lovely Goodbye. Lovely Goodbye began as a rock band comprised of four friends from the hills of Appalachia in Johnson City, Tennessee. Coming together from Classic Rock, Punk, Country, and Progressive backgrounds, Lovely Goodbye has evolved from each member’s influences into one of East Tennessee’s premiere original bands. All the members sought to keep the the core principles of the best music alive: professionalism, fun, and a quality live show. The best rock artists combine anthem-like lyrics, a voice that [...]

Pick of the Week — The Darlins

This week’s Pick of the Week was created for the band The Darlins. “In September of 2008, singer/songwriter and founding member of her former LA based duo, The Darlins, Portland- born guitarist, Jude Toy, asked co-worker and fellow singer/songwriter and Nashville native, Erinn Bates, if she wanted to write and perform together around town. From the first writing appointment, they knew they had something special. Jude’s rocking acoustic guitar and harmonies blended harmoniously with Erinn’s bluegrass-tinged lead vocals and mandolin. In 2009, The Darlins were reborn and opened for country stars [...]

Pick of the Week — Tryst

This week’s Pick of the Week was designed and ordered by Charlton Young for his band, Tryst. Tryst, is a “top 40” acoustic cover band.  They play a lot of the newer pop songs that are coming out and do a lot of mash ups with songs you would never think to mash up.  Their influences include Chevelle, Howie Day, Boyce Avenue, Cee-lo green, Jason Derulo, Oasis, Bruno Mars, Eminem, Pink, and Ke$ha. The band has been around for a few years, but Charlton joined just a couple months ago [...]

Pick of the Week — The Bobcats

This week’s Pick of the Week is for the band The Bobcats; a rockabilly band from Long Island, NY formed in 2009. Their name came from the fact that four of the original five members were named Bob (their original drummer, Mike, suggested the name). They play covers from the early Sun Records days to the present, including some original songs. They strive for an authentic sound with a little bit of an edge, with the powerful vocals of Rob Walker, two guitars of Bobby Koleba and Bob Muller, driving [...]

Pick of the Week — Chasing Mona

For the Pick of the Week this week, we chose a design created for the band Chasing Mona. “Chasing Mona is a local Kitsap County cover band specializing in classic rock covers, rockabilly favorites, and ‘paying homage to the hat’ country. Branded by their signature black and white Chuck Taylors, a profound commitment and respect for our military, and their buxom flirtatious mascot Mona that can be seen on the cover of the bass drum lit up by a spotlight, Chasing Mona is all about bringing the fun, the funk, [...]

Pick of the Week — The Mojo Tones

This week’s Pick of the Week was made for the blues band, The Mojo Tones. “The Mojo Tones started out as four friends just getting together, playing Blues and Blues-Rock songs for the fun of it.  Mike (drums) initiated things by asking Billy (guitar) if he’d be interested in doing a Blues project, just for fun, just because. Billy says, “One thing led to another, word got out, and suddenly, we were playing gigs by word of mouth.” Mike knew a singer/harmonica player in Joe (Vocals & Harp) that loved [...]
