Vito A. Galati

Currently a Professional Artist, self-titled Vito A.Galati I, Archangel I have played professionally for over 25 years….started my love of the guitar and music at the age of 5. At the Age of 21 went off to find the starlight of rock and roll, I was with several Professional acts, Had toured Extensively for a few years, worked with a few Signed artists over a period of 15 years, all the while suffering under a conviction that ,I really was not using my ability for the one who created it to begin with.

I broke away in early 90’s with a act Archangel, I felt a calling to finally remove myself from the life of secular, and begin to use my gift of music and guitar, for God. released a few CD’s between that period of time, into early 2005, when 2 more CD’s were released, changing over from mainstream to pretty much only Christian, in 2012 I was led to change the act to self titled Vito Archangel, but knew It was a process, finally at current, I have changed my act name to who I am , Vito A Galati I, a process that has taken over 30 years to get to.

The Brothers Reed

Products Used: Clayton Custom Green Delrin, Standard Shape, 0.88mm gauge

“It’s hard to beat the durability and playability of Clayton guitar picks. With how often we play I really need a reliable pick to get me through the entire show without too much wear which is why I play the heavier gauge Clayton .88mm. May the Clayton legacy reign supreme!”   -Phil

“Feel and durability are the two qualities I look for in guitar picks which is why I use the Clayton .88mm guitar picks because they don’t feel bulky in my hands but still hold up throughout multiple shows rather than disintegrating mid strum.” -Aaron

The Reed brothers have finally united to create music together after twelve years of being 3000 miles apart. Phil Reed moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 2013 and joined forces with Aaron Reed in a project dubbed “Buckle Rash”. Playing around with their not so high-energy solo creations they developed something entirely different on the side. Musical tastes for both have changed over the years and evolved into a medley of folk/bluegrass/pop/country and so on… Focusing on tight harmonies and pretty riffs The Brothers Reed want to bring you a unique listening experience that never sits on one musical spectrum for too long. Whether you’re into blues, rock, folk, or soft roots country, The Brothers Reed are sure to deliver nerve hitting tunes in a most simple format.

The Brothers Reed — Aaron Reed and Philip Reed — have received positive responses from audiences since the two members of local band Buckle Rash started their side project a few months ago.”
-Laurie Heuston – The Mail Tribune

“It’s true we’re not very deep into the new year yet, but the bottom line is that Sick As Folk is easily 2015’s best local album to date, and The Brothers Reed have set a pretty high bar for other local artists hitting the studio this year.”

Solace of Requiem

Products Used: Jeff uses Acetal Standard , 1.52mm & Richard uses Acetal Standard , 1.00mm.

“I have a unique style of playing with my fingers and a pick. Every other pick I’ve tried tends to slip and fall out of my hands, but not Steve Clayton picks. Maybe it’s magic, but whatever the reason, I’ll never consider another company!” – Jeff Sumrell

“Steve Clayton picks, I can honestly say, are the finest picks money can buy. I have used them for over 20 years. I recommend them to all my fellow guitarists and guitar students. If you want the best, you want a Clayton!” – Richard Gulczynski

EPIC F****** BRUTALITY! Classically Composed / Brutally Rendered . . These are the only words that can accurately describe Solace of Requiem. The band is from the United States and plays a most unique and original form of extreme metal. Sometimes labeled as “Technical Blackened Death Metal”, SOR’s music is not only instrumentally technical, but is also technical in composition. Blending together an array of haunting technical passages, classical movements, grim ambience and relentless brutality, with a diverse assortment of highly intelligible extreme vocals. Making it is easy to hear the vast collection of influences that are incorporated within Solace Of Requiem‘s music. As opposed to the overdone “riff 1, riff 2, chorus, repeat” format, or simply juxtaposing a string of so-called “brutal” riffs with no rhyme nor reason, Solace Of Requiem has created music that is unique in sound, as well as in structure. Making extreme metal that is in a genre all its own.

Steve McCall

Products used: Clayton Ultem Teardrop 0.56mm

“I take a lot of pride in my sound. I was blown away by the difference in attack and tone when I switched over to Steve Clayton picks. Count me in for life!”

The South Bay of Southern California is no stranger to iconic and successful punk bands. There are many bands that take pride in calling the South Bay their home. Bands like Black Flag, The Descendents, The Deviates and Pennywise all hail from some part of a place that continues to create amazing music. Along with bands that have established themselves is a plethora of bands that are chomping at the bit to catch a break and bands that are making the South Bay’s renowned punk scene what it is today.

With so many punk bands in Southern California, it shouldn’t be a surprise to hear that members from three different bands are coming together to make something new by the name of WRATHS. Drummer Andrew Murphy and bassist Chris Kranes— from the rock ‘n’ roll band The Darlings— teamed up with 1208 guitarist Steve McCall and legendary Pennywise front man Jim Lindberg to create this unique sound.

WRATHS come to the scene with something that sets them apart from just another Southern California punk band. McCall’s technicality really adds a sound that keeps them distinct. He uses a chorus pedal which was big with bands like The Damned, TSOL, The Nerve Agents and even The Cure. When Lindberg first heard the music he admitted to hearing parts that reminded him of bands like, Washington D.C.’s melodic hardcore band, Dag Nasty and even Queens of the Stone Age. It’s these types of sounds that make it difficult to pigeon hole WRATHS.

“Over the years I have spent tons of money on my rig always searching for that perfect tone.  Something that I was never happy with was my picks.  I could get great tone out of some, but they never felt right between my fingers, or I could get a good feel, but the tone was lacking.  After trying a Clayton pick for the first time, I was hooked.  Fantastic tone- especially when you really dig into the strings.  They feel great and never they never slip out of my grip.  I would encourage any guitarist to give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.”

Jeffry Don has spent many years on the front line of music.  He has played with bands such as TC Fambro and the Copperheads, playing on their debut EP Texas Town, he played with Level of Grace for several years helping them sign a recording contract with Tate Music Group and recorded on their album Wonderful God, which received airplay and rave reviews all over the world.  Currently Jeffry Don is working on a new project with the Tyler Steel Band.  With their fusion of Red Dirt, Rock, and Blues, the Tyler Steel Band is sure to make waves in the Texas country scene and beyond.  They are currently in the studio working on their upcoming album, Come With Me, which should be available by late spring 2014.  Be looking for them to play a city near you soon.

Products used: Clayton Custom Acetal Standard 1.00mm and Glow in the Dark Standard 1.00mm picks.

“Whether I am shredding or grinding, stroking or showing off, Clayton picks do the job! And they are f****** excellent for playing guitar too!” – Dr. Leif

“I’ve been using the Steve Clayton custom picks with my bouzouki for several years now and they’re great! Not only does the print look good and solid, but it works just as good for whatever exotic string instrument we manage to include in our music as it does for guitar and bass” – Manskow

“I`ve been using the custom Clayton picks for years. Never before have I come across picks that are more reliable. Add the genius online editor for custom guitar picks and you have a winner!” – Mr.Seidel

With a line up that includes musicians from bands as varied as URGEHAL, PANTHEON I, UNTIME, MELCH, HALLUCINATIONS, POWERSWORD and SARKOM, TROLLFEST’s members bring with them not only a wealth of experience and the skill to make use of instruments like the accordion, the banjo and the saxophone, but also a sense of diversity that allows the band to create a sound that is distinctly its own. Whilst “True Norwegian Balkan Metal” goes some way towards describing the TROLLFEST sound – hinting as it does at the extreme end of metal, with a good pinch of local traditional folk – it doesn’t really go the whole way towards capturing the sense of fun and sheer exuberance with which the band tackles everything it does, whether it involves playing in the studio or performing live.

Formed in 2004, in Oslo, Norway, when a bunch of musicians became bored with the selection of party music that was available to them, and, helped along by the consumption of large quantities of alcohol, the soon-to-be members of TrollfesT decided to take matters into their own hands. One website and six songs later, a German label, which at the time was called Solistium, recognised the potential in the madness and got in touch. With the immortal words “what the heck, let’s give it a go” TrollfesT agreed to a deal and started writing new material. By 2005 “Willkommen Folk tell Drekka Fest!!” hit the streets. And life as we know it was never the same again.

Containing a selection of sounds and comments, many of which you would not necessarily come across if you only frequented polite parties, “Willkommen…” displayed some unique qualities that caught people’s attention and consequently sold rather a lot of copies, so a deal for a second album was signed and in 2006 the story of Brakebein the Troll was released. “Brakebein” (not a bad choice for a title really given its subject matter), appeared in two versions – one that included a cartoon illustrating Brakebein’s voyage, and the other that included the lyrics.

During the first years, TrollfesT never actually played live, but nevertheless the two albums succeeded in making the band a sought after addition to festivals, and the first foray beyond the planning stage occurred in 2007 as one of the headlining bands at the Ninth Barther Metal Open Air Festival. TrollfesT then went on to headline and play various festivals and concerts around Europe during 2007/08 including the Ragnarök and Riedfest festivals.

January 2009 saw the release of TrollfesT’s third studio album “Villanden”. A much-anticipated underground album according to feedback from the fans, “Villanden” was quickly acknowledged as one of the craziest albums to have been released in a very long time, mixing, as it did, European Balkan music with extreme metal, and spread rapidly through the viral networks like YouTube, MySpace and Facebook.

2011 saw TrollfesT sign with NoiseArt Records for the release of the new album “En Kvest For Den Hellige Gral” and with Rock The Nation for world-wide booking. Tours and festival appearancs quickly followed demonstrting that as a live force TrollfesT is hard to beat.

2012 started of with a European tour together with Korpiklanni and several festivals in Europe. In August TrollfesT released the critically acclaimed ”Brumlebassen”, the band’s fifth full-length album. The band then followed up the release by joining the Heidenfest-tour through Europe together with Wintersun and Korpiklaani.

In 2013 the band celebrated their 10 year anniversary by releasing the compilation album “A Decade Of Drekkadence”. TrollfesT also did not only one, but two big North-American tours (together with Wintersund and Alestorm). The summer saw the band playing at several big European festivals.

The band’s sixth studio album, ”Kaptein Kaos” was released April 2014 through NoiseArt Records, hitting the streets in Europe on the 28th March and North America on the 8th of April. Following the release of TrollfesT’s latest album the band embarked on their first European headlining tour which started the 18th of April and ran for 16 dates. Already confirmed for the summer festival season are Hellfest, Motocultor Festival, Carpathian Metal Alliance.

So how would anyone, in their right mind, or otherwise, dare to define TrollfesT? The closest you would come is probably True Norwegian Balkan Metal, but even then you would need to include influences from lots more genres. The best way to put it is that this band is all about alcohol, joy and music, three subjects that draw in fans from all ages and genres, eager to listen to TrollfesT’s records and witness the exuberant and skilled live performances.

Uncle Bard & the Dirty Bastards

Products used: Clayton Custom Acetal 0.50mm picks for tenor banjo and acoustic guitar.

“After years and years of struggle, searching for a bright and sharp tone with the banjo, I finally discovered the Clayton acetal pick 0.50 and I fell in love with it! Flexible and perfect for triplets, but bright and undestructible.” – Lorenzo Testa, tenor banjo

During the last two decades, a lot of people left Italy to search for a new life in Ireland, a sort of promised land due to high salaries and good opportunities. During those years a good bunch of friends and long-time musicians started collecting money and traveling once a month to Ireland, to meet old friends living there and spending the weekends rambling around and enjoying Irish music, culture and people. They soon fell in love with Irish music and started learning it.

When they put up a band in 2007 they had no expections or plans. But things worked out and in a few years the Dirty Bastards, together with the charismatic Uncle Bard on bass guitar, played almost everywhere in Europe: huge rock venues, massive celtic and rock festivals but also cosy pubs, mountain huts and more. They shared the stage with the worldwide famous celtic-punk band Dropkick Murphys (USA), then played with international traditional artists like De Danann (IRE), Four Men and A Dog (IRE), Beoga (IRE) but also rock acts such as Volbeat (DEN) or Jamie Clarke’s Perfect (ex-Pogues, UK). On 2012 the Bastards started a busking tour through Ireland, Wales and England joining local musicians, singing old-time stories at the corner of the streets and coming back home astonished for the unbelievable audience’s response. When Luca Crespi (Uilleann Pipes, tin whistle, Irish flute), founder of Inis Fail and one of the most known and respected musician in Irish Traditional Music, joined the band, the Dirty Bastards made a further step forward, expanding the repertoire and recording “Up the Bastards” EP in 2013 and then the full-length album “Get The Folk Out!” (2014).

Saif Q

Products Used: Clayton Custom White Delrin 0.80mm & Acetal 0.63mm.

“The tone really does start from your hands and your pick! Clayton picks have been my choice for the last 10 years, due to the solid make and consistent texture. Fantastic overtones produced by the Acetal and the Delrin is fantastic for solo playing. I will never look at another pick, ever! These are the best there is right now.”

Trained in Indian classical music and the tabla since 8 years old, Saif has been with music ever since. Music has been the mainstay of Saif’s upbringing, as vinyls were constantly played in the house, ranging from Indian classical to Sinatra and Jethro Tull. Funk music is in his roots, as everything that he plays or arranges is deemed ‘funky’.

Saif is classified as a bona fide self taught multi instrumentalist who was the main driving force of the hit funk/pop band GrooveTrap (in Bangladesh) and Safari Motel in Melbourne Australia. With his unique playing style and arrangements GrooveTrap shot right through to the top of the creme de la creme of the music fraternity and is still respected for the first self titled album which infused brand new music flavour into the industry. With Safari Motel Saif is infusing his funk roots into a soul-blues based sound of the band. The band is one of the most busiest and sought after blues/funk band in the Melbourne circuit.

Saif is lovingly called ‘Q’, and is a self taught sound engineer as well, he has collaborated with almost all the successful bands in the Bangladesh and Australian music scene.

While he went for studies in England, Saif also gave extensive music on two ‘indie’ films by the talented now deceased Joseph Tan. The films were called “Gangsters In Love” (2006) and “Time To Kill” (2007). The Filmmakers site still hosts some tunes.

The Marquee

Products used: Duraplex .73mm picks, Tenacious D, HES, and NSXH’s.

“I’ve used all different brands of picks over the years and Steve Clayton’s have to be my top choice. Whether we’re on tour, recording, or just jamming in the studio, I always have a pack of Duraplex picks in my guitar bag.” – Maurice Alban

“The Tenacious D pick from Steve Clayton has to be the coolest pick out there, I mean its the pick of destiny!” – Carlos Jaramillo

The Marquee came to life in 2011, when long time friends Maurice Alban and Carlos Jaramillo recorded an EP in a small Brooklyn studio. Soon after, they crossed paths with William Pearson, a multi-instrumentalist from upstate who would helm the bass, and Louis Cozza, a Philadelphia based drummer also going to school in the city.

Once united, their love for music and strong chemistry lead the way to performing live, debuting at Webster Hall’s Marlin Room. The summer of 2012 was a whirlwind circuit at countless clubs and venues across New York. That very same winter, they got the amazing opportunity to visit Converse Rubber Tracks Studio in Brooklyn, where they recorded their EP “The Day We Never Met”. With a recent East coast tour just wrapped up promoting their EP, The Marquee prepare to record their first full length album.

Trevor Finlay

Products used: Clayton Custom Colored Delrin 1.00mm standard shape.

“There’s something about having a guitar pick with your name on it that makes you feel like more of a ROCKSTAR!”

In June of 2007, Canadian-born TREVOR FINLAY visited Nashville for the first time for a little mini-vacation but something strange happened… When he got off the plane he was overwhelmed with the feeling that he was ‘home’ and a few short months and a mound of paperwork later, he moved there to stay.

TREVOR’s previous career included releasing 4 studio albums and touring incessantly all over the world (from Canada coast to coast to Australia, parts of the US and Europe), opening for big-named acts (like James Brown, Kid Rock, John Hiatt, Johnny Winter and Booker T. and the MG’s just to name a few), earning awards and nominations (2005 – Real Blues Magazine 11th Annual Awards – Best Canadian Blues/Rock Artist, Best Canadian Blues Band/Central, Top Canadian Blues Guitarist; 2002 – Toronto Blues Society’s MBA for “Male Vocalist of the Year”; 1999 – Toronto Blues Society’s MBA for “New Artist of the Year”), and becoming a regular guest on several popular morning radio shows.

In late 2013, TREVOR finished his latest CD entitled “Sandpaper & Bourbon” and is set to release in the very near future. Produced by Mike Flanders, the CD features 13 original songs, all penned by FINLAY, and some of the best musicians in the business today including Steve Brewster on drums, Dave Francis on bass and Tammy Rogers King on mandolin and bkg vocals. “Sandpaper & Bourbon” showcases TREVOR’s lyric writing abilities, his musicianship and the “gravity and rasp” of his vocals.

In 2009, filmmaker Stacey K. Black began work on a documentary and named it after one of Trevor’s songs – “Send My Mail To Nashville”. Calling it her ‘love letter to Nashville’, the film follows songwriters on their journey to and from Nashville, TREVOR being one of five songwriters that she follows and interviews. The movie is making the rounds at festivals and is set for release in 2014.

As a session musician, he’s been known to play guitar for 80’s pop icon Tiffany and maing a guest appearance on the singer’s 2010 CD entitled “Rose Tattoo” and travelling with her all over the globe and sharing the stage as lead guitar player.

Recently a 2yr show-history was done at the request of a prospective agent and from Jan. 1 2012 till Dec. 31 2013, TREVOR had logged 572 dates and has no plans on slowing down anytime soon!

Odds are TREVOR FINLAY is playing somewhere tonight.

“You feel the strings, the sound is pure. They’re light and dynamic but especially Green!” – Jeff Cold

“Really precise, a great attack, everything I was expecting for!” – Max Shortlegs

“Just pick up my pick, feel the energy, I would sing with it if I could!” – Matt Grand

The Toshes are not an indie rock band, they don’t play old school music, and they don’t play electronic music. They are a new psychedelic rock band from the 21st century. Two words to describe their sound : ‘’Solid’’ and ‘’ Powerful’’.

The four piece band is formed with PM, Pete, Max, and Jeff .

Jeff, the bassist is called the ‘’groovy groover’’, he has a modern and a smoothy sound. Max, the lead guitarist plays only aggressive riffs which slit everything on their way, recently compared to an acid attack under control. PM, the lead singer has the devil inside him, completely out of control on stage, he is a freaky beast for each gigs they do. The drummer Pete is a nerves ball which always keeps music at the most powerful point, the strength of his hits break sticks by hundreds.

The Toshes come from West London, born in an old industrial oven, each member got some green in its veins. They launched the New Green Virus in London.

Tim “Too Slim” Langford

Products used: Black Celluloid, Standard, 0.80mm gauge with Too Slim and the Taildraggers Logo, Inner-Lock Straps

“I use Clayton Picks because I love the feel and I can customize with the bands logo. I also like the Inner-Lock straps because I don’t have to alter the strap holders on my guitar!”

If Tim “Too Slim” Langford only played slide he would slither around most other blues guitarists and put a ferocious bite on their pride. However, as the sole six-string slinger, main songster and lead singer of the power trio he founded in 1986 in Seattle, Washington, he is a total force of nature. Leaving musical tracks for others to try and follow with now 16 albums and countless gigs, he remains as untamed and menacing as ever.

Vinny Roth

Products used: Clayton Custom White Pearl 1.26mm.

“I love my custom Clayton guitar picks. Clayton gets the shape and gauge of picks I love, and never misses any graphic details including my band logo or web address. I also love the pro lemon and pro shine as they keep my guitars ready for a night of maximum Rockin!”

Whether he’s playing his trademark soulful progressive Blues with The Vinny Roth Band, or doing session work around his adopted Washington D.C. area Vinny always brings his A+ game. Through his ecclectic array of musicianship he has garnered spots playing along side such musical luminaries as Ian Gilian of Deep Purple, Honky tonk pioneer Bill Kirchen and many many others. Mr. Roth’s sound and style has held comparisons to players like Duane Allman, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Nolan (James Brown’s band), BB.King and even Wes Montgomery.

Originaly from Queens New York Roth discovered the hipness of the guitar from watching his first Elvis movie. It was the opening riff to Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” that planted the seed of wanting an electric guitar. Early influences where Aerosmith, Clapton, Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin. It was through his favorite guitar teacher, an old hippie soul named Rick Meyer, that Vinny started to improvise. “Rick was the original Jack Black from the School of Rock. He would loan me stacks of his vinyl each week and tell me to listen, play along and improvise. It was during this period that I started listen to The Allman Brothers, The Dead and tons of old blues. This is the music that changed my life!”

After high school he attained a fine arts degree in music after studying at both Northern VA Community College and George Mason University. His dedication to playing paid off with the several movie and tv soundtracks he has played on as well as a finalistists in guitar contests, most notably the 2004 Guitar Center Guitarmegeddon solo off.

On his current Cd, due for release in the summer of 2014 Vinny tries to hit every color of the music sprectrum while keeping his ideas fresh. “I think a good album should feature music that flows from inside and showcases the influences you have. I’m am a big fan of 60’s and 70’s live music, especially the live jam approaches of the Band of Gypsies, The Allmans, The Dead, Muddy Waters”

Vinny’s music has not only won several songwriting awards but also garnered write ups in Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar, 20th Century Guitar as well European press in the German Publication Guitar & Bass magazine. Several notable guests Ike Willis (Frank Zappa), Ron Halloway (Warren Haynes), Al Williams (Stanely Clarke Schooldays band), Tamer Eid (Emmett Swimming) and session players Vinnie Simonette, Kenny Pimental, Chris Wing, Eric Weinberg and the great James “Spunk” Martini all appear on the upcoming CD project.

“The best thing to do is have a big set of ears, an open mind and enjoy and be greatful that you can create what you love”

Tommy Z

Products used: Acetal Teardrop guitar picks.

“Someone gave me a Clayton guitar pick about ten years ago and haven’t used another type or brand since. It is an integral link in the chain between myself and the guitar.”

Beginning as a teenager in the talent-rich Western New York music scene, Tommy Z is a guitarist/singer/songwriter/producer/engineer/composer who has been described as a “blues treasure” by legendary 97 Rock/WBFO DJ Jim Santella (WBFO), and “one of WNY’s best kept secrets” by Sarah French, Blues Matters Magazine. Though he is a guitar-driven electric blues-based stylist onstage, in the studio Tommy composes a variety of music. So while well experienced and studied in traditional blues, jazz and rock styles, Tommy is an artist who puts that soulful blues feeling into all the different styles he plays. As a result he’s been been recognized with numerous awards over the years, including being voted Top Blues Vocalist in Western New York 2003/2004/2006, Top Blues Guitarist 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 2004, 2005, 2006 and his groups have won the Top Blues/Crossover Blues Band categories 1994, 2005, 2006, and was honored with the Muddy Waters Award for “Artist of the Year” by the Blues Society of WNY in 2004. In 2007 Tommy was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, recognizing him alongside some of the best talent to ever come out of WNY (and also making him ineligible for any more music awards!). He has had the opportunity to perform with/or co-bill with some of the worlds’ greatest artists in the blues/rock genre including: B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jeff Healey, Colin James, Roomful of Blues, Blues Traveler, Derek Trucks, Joe Bonamassa, Robert Randolph, Peter Frampton, Carey Bell and many more including a tour backing up Grammy-winning blues legend Pinetop Perkins (Muddy Waters Band).

The son of a Vietnam-era veteran, he has been bringing a taste of home to US troops overseas since 2003 with blues-based concert tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Japan, South Korea, Djibouti, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Egypt, Turkey, Guam, Alaska and other distant locales on behalf of USO/AFE. Rolling Stone Magazine called some of these locations, “The most dangerous gigs on Earth.” Tommy contributed guitar tracks to Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan’s CD on Immergent called Gillan’s Inn, on the track “When A Blind Man Cries,” which also featured blues-rock legend Jeff Healey and Jon Lord. In 2006 a critically acclaimed CD entitled Universal Love was produced with Nick Blagona (BeeGees, Chicago, Police), and it was described as “soul-rockin’ blues” by Bob Putignano, NYC Blues Society President and Sounds of Blue DJ (WFDU), “awesome” by Bob Silvestri, Best of WNY, and “should feature high on your list of ‘new’ acts to investigate” Mick Rainsford, Blues in Britain Magazine.

He really got some attention in the blues and blues/rock world with the release of “Sometimes” in 2013. It made both the Roots Report Top Blues FM and Internet Airplay Charts, charts for US blues/roots stations, overseas blues charts and made the first round of voting for Best Blues Album at the Grammy’s. It continues to receive glowing reviews in such publications as American Blues Scene, Blues Rock Review, About.com/blues and many many more.

In addition to his performance schedule, Tommy is a Canisius College graduate, guitar teacher, and composer/producer for Film, TV, Sports, etc. His most recent credits include writing the victory song for the St. Louis Blues (NHL), Red Hot Chili Peppers Biography, Ryan and Sean’s Not So Excellent Adventure, Last Comic Standing (NBC), TLC’s Stager Invasion, Animal Planet’s Swamp Wars (main title), Bravo’s Chef Roble and Co. and others.

Tony Musallam of Restrayned

Products used: Clayton White and Colored Delrin 1.0 picks, Clayton Glow in the Dark 1.0 picks, Black Celluloid 1.0 picks

“I have been using Clayton picks for the past four years. They are, in my opinion, the best on the market. My favorite is the Delrin 1.0 picks. They provide me with a sharp attack and a non-slip grip. No more worrying about losing your pick in the middle of a fast run. They are also very durable! Most picks don’t last through a rehearsal. But the Clayton Delrin picks last for several rehearsals without grinding down. I will never use another pick.”

Tony is the guitarist and sometimes lead vocalist for Restrayned.

Restrayned is a Hard Rock/Melodic Metal band from Northern California. Taking influences from both classic and modern bands to create their sound, Restrayned has been dubbed “Classic Modern”. Restrayned features a thundering rhythm section and heavy driving guitars topped with soaring vocal melodies and harmonies.

They have supported bands like Trapt, Y&T, Lynch Mob, Loudness and more. The full length CD “A Dark New Day” is currently available on iTunes and Amazon.com and has recently been named SR Rocks.com’s “ALBUM OF THE YEAR” for 2012. Their Song “Remember” (from the 2010 self-titled 5 song EP) was named “2011 Song of the Year” at SRRocks.com.

Troy Elmore

Products used: Clayton custom black celluloid pick. Standard 0.80mm with full color print on both sides.

The Seattle based group Arisen From Nothing offers a powerful, lethal combination of hard rock and metal, heard live and on their 2012 sophomore release, In Nothing We Trust. The latest album represents and exciting evolution for the band with the addition of vocalist T.J.Hill. INWT sees the return of AFNs trademark groove oriented hooks and deeply riff driven backbone, but adds Hills powerful voice and ability to cross over vocal styles which range from modern metal to melodic, traditional hard rock. This blend has lent itself to the creation of music that is appealing to both rock and metal fans alike.

In Nothing We Trust was written as a direct reflection of the times we are all living. This theme based album highlights many issues which trouble our nation today. Each song on INWT takes a look at the darker side of Americana and the turmoil which seems to be prevalent in our world today. The band is quick to acknowledge that INWT is not a condemnation of religion or the American dream but simply offers the listener perspective and an opportunity to reflect on just a few of the issues which seem to capture the headlines and impact our daily lives.

Victoria Lee and New Ground

Products used: Clayton USA custom picks

“‘Victoria Lee and New Ground’ uses and routinely gives out Clayton USA custom picks to our fans. They are the made of the highest quality materials and couldn’t be any easier to design and order! We are very happy and honored to be associated with and to represent Clayton USA products!! “

“Victoria Lee and New Ground” was formed in early 2012 by founding members Victoria Lee, Tyler Jackson, and Bailey Coe with Gary Baird formally joining the band later in 2013. Though, three fourths of New Ground’s members are celebrating their youth as teens, this group has and continues to demonstrate the hard driving traditional style that has made Bluegrass music a favorite among many, as well as, “marinating” in their own flavors to give their performances a certain freshness that continues to drive their musical careers.

Victoria is the youngest at a vibrant, 15 years of age and a sophomore at LongLeaf School of the Arts in downtown Raleigh, NC. She has a passion for music and vocal range that is surpassed by few as she provides rhythm guitar and lead vocals for “New Ground”. With a determination and drive that would stagger most while being instructed and influenced by Steve Dilling of “IIIrd Tyme Out”, she has developed a love for our nations “Backbone” music, Bluegrass, and is becoming well known in the folk community. Victoria is also influenced by Russell Moore, Rhonda Vincent, and Patty Loveless to name a few.

Tyler brings his unprecedented skills to “New Ground” at the ripe old age of 17, implementing the styles of his major influences such as Steve Dilling, J. D. Crowe, Earl Scruggs, Terry Baucom, and Ron Stewart as he provides Banjo, Lead Guitar, and harmony vocals in a hard driving “Bluegrass” style as only he can. In 2011, Tyler placed 3rd in the youth banjo instrumentalist competition at “The Old Time Fiddlers Convention” in Galax, VA.

Bailey, the eldest of the founding members at the age of 18, was schooled by Russell Johnson of “The Grass Cats” and reacquainted himself with his love for Bluegrass music. Not only does Bailey provide hard driving upbeat Mandolin for “New Ground” but he also adds lead and harmony vocals as well.
Gary, at an undisclosed age, is no stranger to the stage. Formally with “Constant Change” with whom he toured the East Coast for some seven years, discovered his love for music while listening to gospel and bluegrass albums with his family as a child. He learned to play on a ship while proudly serving overseas in the United States Navy and upon his return home in 1992, joined a local group and has been playing bluegrass music ever since. He brings to “New Ground” not only a smooth and steady bass rhythm but also harmony and lead vocals while also adding an element of “band chemistry” that relaxes and encourages other band members while ensuring not only the goal that “New Ground” is having fun on stage but the fans and audience is, as well.

“Playing with Clayton Custom Printed Guitar Picks makes me feel like a Rockstar! I play red thin pearl printed picks so I break my picks at shows instead of my guitar strings, I play my guitar so hard that when they break and snap they fly off into the audience, and when fans grab for my busted printed guitar picks it just makes me feel much more famous than I am! Thank you Steve Clayton for helping me live my dream!” – Johnny Austin

The Staylyns is a high-energy Rock & Roll band based in Austin Texas that draws on influences from Jason Mraz, KT Tunstall & Dave Grohl to create a signature sound and strong stage show.

Tom Martini

Products used: Custom Delron 1.0

“Standing out form the norm is important to me as a professional guitarist to establish who I am and what I am about. Clayton custom picks allow me to express what I am about!”

Sometimes that one artist comes along and no one notices. Sometimes they make so much noise that it’s hard to ignore them! Tom Martini is being heard very loud and very clear. As a sought out artist endorser, instructor, and performer, Tom has solidified his place in the industry through hard work and effort. His tenacity has plowed the way to where he is today. Today he has arrived at a time when music is starving for that one artist to rise above the rest, that one performer who bleeds for the stage and that one person who can make a difference in other’s lives…….that person, that musician, and that guitarist is Tom Martini.

Born in NJ he started his music career on the drums and became a very popular and powerful drummer in the tri state region of Nj, NY, and Pa playing in many local club bands throughout the region.. Tom picked up the guitar one day just to see what it was like and never looked back. He took lessons in Port Jervis, NY from a few teachers but it wasn’t until he met local guitar instructor Lenny Hayden. Through the years he and Lenny became close friends and Tom’s path in music starting developing. Starting with blues and classic rock style lessons, Tom progressed into many rock bands that guitarists start to learn but eventually Tom found Dream Theater after seeing a video on MTV which would change the way Tom approached music. Tom’s attention switched into a world of progressive hard rock styles of guitar that others shy away from. Learning many different techniques from the guitarists of the day such as Richie Kotzen, Paul Gilbert, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and John Petrucci helped develop a style that carries Tom to this day.

Tom had been playing in local cover bands when one day he decided to throw all the covers away and do original music for fun and the fun music turned into a career of different paths. Tom created a musical project called Tom Martini’s Distorted Voices which has morphed into two separate paths. One solo and one band both powerful and unique. Tom wrote and recorded two instrumentals that would again alter his life and musical career because one of the instrumental titled Distorted Voices started to take off within the guitar community and online on a site called Garageband.com which allowed listeners to rate a track they heard without knowing who created it until after they rated and voted on it. Tom’s song climbed to #1 topping many of the charts. Ultimately winning the top awards for Best Guitar, Most Original Track, and Track of the Day many times over. Tom now realized he had something to keep building upon and build he did. Tom was found by the editor of guitar Player Magazine in 2007 who wrote a very attention getting article in which Tom was exposed to a worldwide audience and new fan base. His other instrumental Visions was courted by NFL Europa and used on its internet broadcasts of the 2007 season and became the theme music for the Superbowl between the NY Giants and The New England Patriots. Tom is a huge Giants fan so this was an honor to be included.

Tom has many credits over recent years that have helped the world learn about who he is. Tom has licensed music to MTV, NFL Europa, and many charities that deal with Pediatric Cancer, US Veterans, and Soup Kitchens in the Lehigh Valley. His efforts didn’t go unnoticed as music equipment companies came calling and Tom has built an impressive list of solid endorsements with the biggest companies in the music industry such as: Ibanez Guitars, Morley Pedals, Trad Amps, Zoom , Rat Pedals, Dunlop, Steve Clayton INC, Gear Hugger Stands, Lava Cables, Pedaltrain Pedal Boards, and Sonic Fusion Pedals.

Today Tom is focusing on bringing his brand of guitar playing to the world of rock. His band Distorted Voices writes a collection of commercial hard rock music that is also gaining rapid attention. Tom has defined who he is by not following others and staying true to who he is in every way. Tom created and promotes an anti bullying awareness project called “A Voice Of One” that he hopes will change the way everyone deals with bullying in the US and the world. Sometimes it takes a person with a positive outlook in life to change it all and so far Tom is traveling a very powerful, positive, and fast road to success.

Stacey Steele

Products used: Custom guitar picks, various guitar accessories (slides, straps, polish, etc.)

“I love using Steve Clayton custom picks and accessories because you always know you’re getting the best quality products, awesome one-on-one customer service, fast reliable shipping, and the family vibe that they exude with all of their endorsees. I’m proud to be endorsed by Steve Clayton, and look forward to a long relationship with this incredible musical family.”

Raised in Katy, Texas (a small town just a few miles west of Houston), Stacey knew at age 5 exactly what he wanted to be one day…..a singer/musician. The son of singer/musician parents, Stacey watched them play night after night in Houston’s most popular night clubs and restraunts throughout the 70‘s and 80‘s. While Stacey’s father was touring as George Strait’s opening act in the early 80’s, Stacey would watch the musicians and study their every move while trying to emulate their chord positioning and drum patterns, eventually learning to play each instrument by ear. By the time Stacey had reached 10 years old, he could play along on the guitar, bass, or drums to just about any song he heard on the radio.

After turning 18, Stacey began playing in local bands and performing in the hottest night clubs in Houston, as well as touring across the state and across the country. Every band that Stacey played in was well in demand, including World Edge, The Limos, Arrival, and Toy Subs. Four of the bands Stacey played in during the 90’s were nominated for “Band of the Year” by the Houston Press, a local Houston newspaper. Stacey was being hired as a singer, guitarist, bass player, and drummer for live performances, recording sessions, commercial jingles, as well as playing for the Houston Texans, the Houston Astros, the Houston Rockets, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Coca Cola, Budweiser, Shiner Bock, 101 KLOL, 94.5 The Buzz, 93.7 The Arrow, 93Q Country, 100.1 KILT, 97.1 Country Legends, Miller Brewing Company, Pro Mark drumsticks, and countless other corporate events and sponsorships, establishing himself as a successful solo artist and musician. In 2006, Stacey was also nominated in the Texas Buzz Music Awards for “Record of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, and “Band of the Year” while playing lead guitar with his band, LIFE OF RILEY. Stacey has also been endorsed by The Miller Brewing Company, Shiner Bock, Jagermeister, ProMark drumsticks, Steve Clayton custom picks and accessories, and Budweiser.

Up to now, Stacey has played all over the country, been featured on VH1, performed and recorded with Grammy nominated and Grammy winning artists and producers, made a ton of albums and music videos (including 3 albums and 2 music videos with Ty Tabor of the rock band, King’s X), and he’s either recorded, toured, or played with countless acts like Blue October, King’s X, Solange Knowles, Pantera, Enuff Z’Nuff, Motley Crue, Piggy D (Rob Zombie), Kenny Wayne Shepard, Loverboy, Poison, Guiffria, Clint Black, Zebra, Third Eye Blind, Galactic Cowboys, Dio, Cheap Trick, Tonic, Atomic Opera, Doug Supernaw, Sixpence None the Richer, Sebastian Bach of Skid Row, Drowning Pool, Roger Joseph Manning, Jr., (Jellyfish, Beck, Cheap Trick), and MANY more.

Stacey has put the finishing touches on his first solo country album with Grammy winning producer/engineer, Brian Garcia (Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, King’s X, Our Lady Peace, Diana DeGarmo, etc). The album is slated for release in the winter of 2013.
