How many colors is "full color"?

When we talk about full color, we mean that you may use an unlimited amount of different colors. The key to a good "Full Color" pick, however, lays in the simplicity of the design. Remember, the more colors that you use, the harder it becomes to distinguish them on something as small as a guitar pick. But that said, be creative & don't hold back.

Can I get less than 30 picks?

No. In fact, we are set up to produce Custom Picks in batches of 100, so providing our Text-Only picks in batches of 30 is primarily to help new customers try our quality picks without a high-cost risk. The happy result of this however, is that this creates satisfied repeat customers.

How can I be sure my pick looks its best?

We can only print as good as your art is, so make sure your image has a high resolution, clean lines, and still looks good at 1". Also printing it out on your home printer to preview it for yourself before you submit it to us is a good idea.

What pick gauge is equal to a "medium"?

A "medium" gauge tends to be between the .63mm and .80mm range. Our Yellow Delrin XL is a .73mm, and our Ultem is available at .72mm. Any pick at 1.00mm or higher is considered heavy, and .50mm and below is considered a light gauge.

Do all orders go out in under 48 hours?

Most of our orders go out within 48 hours. Orders may take longer if they have more complicated art, or if we need to contact you with a question about your order. Also, two of our new materials, Black Raven and Colored Pearl, have a longer imprinting time due to the unique nature of the material.

*Be warned, these two materials may take 4 weeks or more to be Custom Imprinted.

What is your return policy on custom picks?

Our custom pick designer was built to put you in control of how your pick turns out.  This way you know exactly what you are getting.  Due to this we do not accept any refunds or exchanges on Custom Guitar Picks.

*Exceptions: If Clayton, Inc. spells your imprint wrong, or puts it on the wrong material or gauge we will re-do the job at no charge. All returned orders require an RMA#, which is issued over the phone, otherwise the return will be rejected.

I don't have a logo but I want custom picks ...

Don't despair! We have a clip art library within our Custom Designer for you to pick through (no pun intended). Another great idea is to scan your signature into your computer and upload it to our Custom Designer for a true "Signature Pick."

Can I cancel my order?

No. Once you have designed your pick and submitted your payment information, setup is begun almost immediately to imprint your Custom Picks. Because of the time and cost involved in this preparation, we cannot cancel orders once they have been submitted.

Do you keep my design on file in case I need to re-order?

We store all of our art on digital media that last for years and years. However, we aren't responsible if somehow your artwork does get lost, so it is a good idea to keep a backup of your artwork for yourself.

How do I know if you received my order?

We will confirm receipt of your order and shipment of the order via email. You will also see the amount of the order in your confirmation message.

Who uses our Picks?

We make picks for some of the biggest musicians and business in the world, including Tenacious D (Jack Black, Kyle Gass), Korn, The Foo Fighters, Madonna, Swicthfoot, Johnny Cash, AIG, VH1, Coca-Cola, just to name a few.  Don’t be fooled by our competitors who claim to have big name customers, when they’ve merely show a mock-up of a pick that the celebrity has never seen or even played!
