We had to write a blog about this, because we have noticed that, lately, we have received numerous custom guitar pick orders for weddings that are on October 10, 2010. We have already discovered that custom guitar picks can be a very popular idea for use in weddings, and now we have even more wedding pick orders for this special date that is approaching! If you are planning a 10/10/10 wedding, or a wedding on any date in the near future, you should consider adding custom guitar picks to your planning. They can be used in save-the-dates, invitations, as favors for guests, as part of the decorations….you name it! Shown here are a couple of examples of some of the designs that we have gotten lately. We especially like the design for the ultem pick (on the right), because ultem is not a commonly chosen material for weddings, but this design looks awesome! The tan color of the ultem picks are great for weddings in autumn. They can support designs with red, brown, or black colors, so if these colors are in your wedding scheme, give ultems a try! Did you know that Clayton can customize guitar picks using full color photos? We can!! Shown here are some examples of custom guitar pick designs submitted by our customers who chose to use photos of themselves to customize their picks. We can do full color or greyscale photos on any of our white material picks. In this photo, all three white pick materials that we offer for customization are represented; white pearl, white delrin, and acetal (left to right). The photo on the far left was a perfect match for our white pearl picks, because it has water in the background and the marbleized material added the perfect effect. The photo in the middle was converted to greyscale for a classic look, and the photo on the right looks fantastic on our acetal material. Custom guitar picks with personal photos on them can be a great promotional item for solo artists or bands. Photos can also be perfect for wedding guitar picks! Upload your photo into our custom design interface today at www.claytoncustom.com.

Are you looking for a bright pick that will catch people’s attention? Or maybe you just want a very specific color for your guitar picks? Give our colored pearls a try! We offer colored delrin custom guitar picks, but sometimes we find that customers are looking for a very specific color that is not available in delrin. Also, the colors of the delrins are dictated by the gauges (for example, red = .5mm gauge), but sometimes someone is looking for a color of pick in a different gauge than the one offered for colored delrin. This is when we recommend the colored pearls because they come in a very wide variety of colors, and several gauges. For our colored pearl picks, we offer .3, .5, .63, .8, 1, 1.26, and we have both standard and rounded triangle shapes. Colored pearls make great wedding picks, because they can be matched to the color scheme of the wedding, and they have a classy, marbleized look. Design your custom colored pearls today…but don’t forget to make sure that your design is in black ink only!! Custom Design Site.

Are you looking to design a custom guitar pick, and you have a very specific color in mind? We want you to know that if you are designing a Clayton custom pick, and your choice of pick material is white, you are able to choose single color printing and have any color you want on your custom guitar picks! Shown here are the three types of white guitar picks that we offer, which include white delrin, acetal, and white pearl. Most customers who are choosing a single color design will pick black, but these are examples of customers who wanted another color for the print, and the pricing is the same! To have this option, all you have to do is choose “one color” for the print color options in our custom design page, and then click on the color box to choose which color you want for the print. If you use text in your custom pick design, the text will automatically be the color that you choose. If you have a graphic, the Clayton team will convert it to the color that you want! This can be an especially great option for wedding picks. Sometimes, the colors of picks that we offer do not match exact wedding colors. So, instead, you can choose a white pick and have your design printed in a color that matches the wedding scheme perfectly! Design your custom pick today at www.claytoncustom.com

It is very popular for customers of Steve Clayton, Inc. to order custom guitar picks for a wedding. We have seen them used for many purposes, such as scattering on tables, favors for guests, part of wedding invitations, etc. One idea that we really like is to use custom picks for groomsmen gifts. During the preparation for the wedding, it is common for a groom to want to give a gift to his groomsmen as a thank you for their participation in the wedding. If the groom and his pals are into music, custom picks are the perfect way to give a thank-you that is both creative and practical! Custom picks allow for the names or initials of the groomsmen to go on the picks, along with the date of the wedding, and maybe a graphic that adds to the design. It is even possible to add custom picks onto the boutonnières of the groomsmen for weddings that have a music theming. Shown here are two examples of groomsmen pick designs, created for green delrin and white delrin picks. If the groom and his guys have been in a band together, the band name can also go on the pick (see the white delrin design). This can add a special significance to these gifts that show appreciation for the friends that help pull the wedding together. If you have a wedding coming up and are looking for something special to add, design your wedding picks today at www.claytoncustom.com.

These picks show what summer is about. Weddings, butterflies, and enjoying nature are all popular during the summer season. These were all done on our white delrin custom guitar picks. The black and white wedding couple design is an image you can find on our claytoncustom.com website. Our white delrin custom guitar picks start at just $39 dollars for 100 picks. What impresses me about our white delrins is they provide such a comfortable grip and they have a very clean white look. Let’s not forget that they are as light as a feather. Show what you love about summer on your picks! You can create custom picks by clicking here!

When customers are designing custom picks to order from us, we usually advise against light colors because they don’t always print as well as bold, bright designs. However, if you have an awesome design with some lighter shades in it, we definitely recommend our acetal picks. Acetals are
white, with a slight opaque quality to them. They are available in eight different gauges ranging from .38 mm to 1.9mm. They are also available in three different shapes; standard, rounded triangle and teardrop. We usually recommend acetal picks for photo designs as well. Because acetals are “grainy” and opaque, they hold light colors and lots of detail better than some of the other picks we offer for custom design. Shown here are some light-colored designs that we are proud of. The cupcake pick in this image was a good alternative to pink delrin, so that it could have a full color design instead of just black. The pick with caricatures on it is for a wedding…the perfect whimsical favor to give to guests! So if you tend to gravitate towards the lighter side when creating your custom pick designs, definitely go for acetal, starting at just $49 for 100 picks!! Design your pick here.

Our custom picks have excellent picture quality and we just thought we’d share a couple performers who have chosen to place their photo on our custom picks. We recommend photos to be put on our acetal picks. Customers have used photos for wedding occasions, couples, and band members who are promoting themselves. On the back side of these picks customers will have their signatures, band website, names and dates for weddings or special occasions. These picks here all have the full bleed option taking the image to the edge of the pick that way they are able to fit more on the pick.
The designer is really simple to use to adjust your artwork or photo image. You can zoom in on a particular part of an image, move it around and make it fit just on the guitar pick template. As a suggestion when placing lettering in a photo try to find a spot where the lettering has a solid background so it is legible just like the ones on these picks. If you need help with sizing your photo or getting artwork to fit on the guitar picks please send us your questions at questions@steveclayton.com. Our custom design team will be happy to help you with any questions you have on an order. You may also call us at 1.877.752.9484 M-F 9am-5pm PST.

This week, we wanted to draw attention to our pink delrin custom picks at Steve Clayton. Shown here are some pink delrin pick designs that we really like. Black is the only printing option for pink delrins, but we think that the black and pink look great as a color combination. Pink delrins are also preferable for some customers because of the gauge sizes offered. We have other colored delrins available for custom printing, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. For these, the color of the pick always dictates the gauge. With the pink delrins, we offer three different gauges: Thin (.5) Medium (.8) and Heavy (1mm). Pink picks are perfect for guitar players who want to have personalized picks to play with or give out to fans. They can also be great for events, such as weddings or birthdays. Next time you are starting a new design on our custom site, consider picking pink!

Here’s another look at some cool designs that we have been producing recently. We have noticed that some great spring-time art has been submitted throughout the months of March and April. The designs shown here all use birds and trees, and we feel that this art is both aesthetically pleasing and works well on the small design space of the custom picks. It seems that birds and trees are a trend in the world of graphic art currently…and now they are showing up at Steve Clayton, Inc.! The pick materials vary for these designs. Included in the photo here are ultem, white delrin, and white pearl. Both of the bird design picks shown are also further examples of wedding picks. If you would like to try out your own spring design, visit our custom pick design website!
