Cloudship

Products used: Clayton Custom Rounded Triangle Acetal .63mm

Jon: “I worked at a music store for years and after trying nearly every pick out there I found that the Rounded Acetal Triangle pick provided me with the flexibility, grip, and durability I need.”

Brandon: “In a pile of picks, I will always find the Clayton.”

Jon Napoles and Brandon Freeman are a couple of transplants who fortuitously met in Fresno, CA. After years of dwelling in the same circle of musicians, fate (and stubbornness) would bring the two together as the last remaining full time musicians of the group. One fateful August day the two gathered every piece of equipment between them and songs almost began writing themselves. Thus, Cloudship was born.

Since then the duo has played over a hundred shows, self-released two EPs and two music videos, sold over 500 units at shows and obtained an endorsement deal with Clayton. Their signature mix of modern rock, Americana and electronic has quickly made them a force to be reckoned with, especially among young indie bands.

For a Rainy Day…

Check out these cool picks! We loved the blue Flotsam design that was submitted for custom guitar picks by the band Treading Lemmings. This art was printed on our acetal guitar picks, which work great for graphics that include color backgrounds that cover most of the guitar pick, such as the blue background in this design. We also liked how the fine detail in the creative logo turned out so well, even on small guitar picks!

In March 2013, The Treading Lemmings released “Flotsam”. The EP serves up five delicious new tunes. Much more akin to a fine dining experience than a to trip to the local diner;”Flotsam” provides depth, complexity, sweetness at times, and occasional bitterness for balance. With the typical lyrical finesse of Christopher Quinn, this project was also spiced up by some special guests: Nashville fiddle ace, Kurt Baumer, played on a homage to Keith Moon in “Goodnight Moon,” and inter-continental arrangement help was provided by the Dentists’ (seminal 90s Brit-pop) Bob Collins on “Doing Time On Placid Drive.”

The custom guitar picks were created and ordered by Clayton customer Andy Hunt (aka Ricky), who plays rhythm (Rickenbacker) guitar for The Treading Lemmings. With the release of the new vinyl EP “Flotsam”, he wanted a new promotional pick to toss from stage. He worked with artist Carl Yonder www.carlyonder.com to take his artwork from “Flotsam” and turn it into a guitar pick design using the Clayton custom design tool.

Pick of the Week — The Dirty Flirts

The week’s Pick of the Week was created for the band The Dirty Flirts. The Dirty Flirts were born out of the love of being an avid Runaways fan and lover of Female Fronted Bands in the Punk/Rock genres. Momma Dukes (drummer) flirted (ha ha) with the idea with Dawn Sweet (Lead Vox) and after seeking out other like-minded dirty flirts like themselves they found another talented Fem Fatale “T” (Rhythm Axe), and one energized rocker Rob Luv (Lead Axe). Having a bass player issue…, and gone through two so far since the bands’ inception, they found their permanent bass player Lorenzo who, despite being a generation younger, loves their choice of music and is an enthusiastic as well as talented addition to the Dirty Flirts. With enough practice under their chastity ;-P belts they had a very well received debut gig and are presently rockin at select gigs! Because all of the members’ lifestyles have always included music in some form or another, this band was a natural fit for them, as well as for the next generation of rock and rollers. Their fans are peers in the industry, so when they are at a gig, it suddenly becomes a live jam that all the crazed groupies love being a part of, whether it’s on the stage jamming or dancing and grabbing each other during the shows. So leave your morals and your attitudes at the door and party with The Dirty Flirts!

Pick of the Week — Lovely Goodbye

This week’s Pick of the Week is for the band Lovely Goodbye. Lovely Goodbye began as a rock band comprised of four friends from the hills of Appalachia in Johnson City, Tennessee. Coming together from Classic Rock, Punk, Country, and Progressive backgrounds, Lovely Goodbye has evolved from each member’s influences into one of East Tennessee’s premiere original bands. All the members sought to keep the the core principles of the best music alive: professionalism, fun, and a quality live show. The best rock artists combine anthem-like lyrics, a voice that clings to the edge of strong guitar riffs and progressions, and a tight rhythm section that marches the listener through the album and back to the beginning, ready for more. Opening for many national touring acts, they saved up enough to record and released their debut Self Titled album in 2010, with a follow-up expected in 2012. Recently, the band has added a rhythm guitarist to let singer, Sean McCurry, focus his attention on fully being a frontman and entertainer.

Lovely Goodbye is Sean McCurry, Jeff Dotson, Brandon Lambert, Bryan Gibson, and Max Crawford

Pick of the Week — SpaceBand

This week’s Pick of the Week was made for the band SpaceBand. SpaceBand is a cover band from Bellingham, WA that focuses on R&B/Hip-hop hits from the 90’s as well as current, chart-topping dance tunes. SpaceBand prides itself on being a 100% live cover band with no backing tracks, so no two shows are exactly alike.  To round out their repertoire, SpaceBand tastefully sprinkles in some classic rock, funk, and Motown. Todd Templeton on drums and Aeden Hunter on bass provide the solid, funky foundation on which a temple of soul is built with Brian Hillman’s powerful vocals leading the way. Charlie Elmore’s rhythm guitar permeates with warm splendor, and Baron Kim’s funky riffs and face-melting solos grab hold of you in a way you can’t shake. Every gig is a party with the seats emptied and the dance floor packed.

SpaceBand has consistently played well-attended shows throughout the Pacific Northwest since 2002. Although they usually provide an entire night of music, SpaceBand has performed opening sets for numerous national touring acts. Whether it’s at a club, private party, casino, or wedding, SpaceBand is sure to keep the good times rollin’ and will please even the toughest critics.
To find out more about SpaceBand, visit their website at www.thespaceband.com or their Facebook page at  www.facebook.com/thespaceband!
The SpaceBand picks were made on our acetal guitar pick material, which is a grainy semi-transparent white guitar pick. This was a great pick to support the lighter color shades of the SpaceBand logo. To create and order your own custom picks, visit www.claytoncustom.com today!

Pick of the Week — Scarlet Machine

This week’s featured Pick of the Week was made for the band Scarlet Machine. “Scarlet Machine is a four-piece rock band made up of teens from the San Francisco Bay Area. These young musicians are making music like it used to be: jamming, not manufacturing. With roots in jazz, rock and funk, Scarlet Machine is about musicianship, great songs, and energetic performances. What you see is what you get.
All too often, bands in concert sound nothing like their CD. Scarlet Machine refuses to be one of those bands. Scarlet Machine draws from a wide array of inspirations because its members are so different. Kyle’s main inspirations are bands like Creed and Paramore. Keller’s inspirations roll to Queen and Radiohead. Nick’s include AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses. Matt’s are bands like A Day to Remember and The Devil Wears Prada.
Kyle says: “We are sort of like a recipe of rock. Each of us is a certain ingredient that wouldn’t be very good by itself, but combined it tastes amazing!” Their latest studio effort, “On Fire” was released September 24th, 2011 and was recorded and engineered by Teddy Gyi, mixed by Juan Urteaga of Trident Studios and mastered by Brad Gillis of Night Ranger.Scarlet Machine will be applying their creative ingenuity to a new studio effort due for release in late 2012. Scarlet Machine will get your blood pumping. Their energy, passion and skill promise audiences nothing less than a true rock show.”

To find out more about Scarlet Machine, visit their facebook page at http://www.scarletmachine.com/. Scarlet Machine’s custom guitar picks were made on our acetal material, and we loved the intricacy of their design. To create and order your own custom picks, visit www.claytoncustom.com today!

Pick of the Week — Ghost Train Trio

This Week’s Pick of the Week was made for the band Ghost Train Trio. The custom picks were designed and ordered by Clayton Customer Pat Mackinnon, who is the Ghost Train Trio vocalist, guitar-slinger and songwriter. “His original vision was to combine rock, surf and country with a Rat Pack chaser. When double bassist Joel Putzier and drummer Dan Cunneen saddled-up to the bar, the Mackinnon vision was fulfilled. In just a few short months Ghost Train Trio has skillfully taken the bite and swagger of hard-rock and blended it with Sun-era Elvis, Dick Dale’s twang and Tony Joe White’s soulful “Polk Salad” swamp. To round out their sound, they tossed in a dash of Willie Dixon’s electrified blues and a touch of Waylon and Willie’s outlaw drawl. Put it all together and you get Ghost Train Trio. (The band happily defies easy classification, so until somebody comes up with something better, the tongue-tied “hard-rocking, bluesy and soulful outlaw countrypolitan surf” will just have to do.)
With titles like “Lonesome Road” and “Brother to the Wind”, Mackinnon’s songs reflect isolation and a restless movement that no doubt springs from his formative years in the 49th state. Like all good songwriters, a common thread runs though Mackinnon’s material, but the songs aren’t just re-writes of the last one. Each distinct tune stands on its own and stands up to the last. Mackinnon’s voice echoes a rough-hewn crooner – meandering the wide gulf between Bob Dylan and Dean Martin – with a touch of the trademark Rotten snarl for good measure. Lyrically, he touches on themes of running, from your past – and your demons, and then making another dash for the next boundary. Ghost Train Trio has found the right mix musically, with their personalities and their style. Even when playing a jazzy song like “Just a Shame” or a dark ballad like “Evelyn”, Ghost Train Trio’s rock roots are clear – but not obvious. Put simply, even when they don’t rock, they do.”   -Gary Karconclion, The Puget Sound Perspective

Pat was kind enough to write about his experience with Clayton Picks:

“I’ve been using Clayton picks exclusively for many years. I used to get really frustrated with standard plastic picks because they would easily break and get grooves along the sides from running my pick up and down the strings. Also the gloss finish always felt a little slippery in my fingers. When I discovered Clayton Acetal picks I fell in love with them and have never turned back. They don’t break, they hold up to all kinds of abuse and they grip your fingers and stay put. They will wear down after a while but whenever I notice that one of my picks is worn down around the end I know that I have put a lot of time in on my guitar with that particular pick and that’s a good feeling. I used to play with 1 mm which are great for fast picking and heavy attack. But with Ghost Train Trio I switch from electric to acoustic quite a bit and I like using a thinner pick on an acoustic so now I’m using the .8 mm because it has some flexibility which I like for acoustic srumming and is still firm enough to support fast picking and give me some crunch when I need it. So when I realized that I could make my own custom printed Clayton Picks I was thrilled and wasted no time in placing my order. Now I’ve got my favorite picks with my own cool design on it. It’s a great thing!”

The Ghost Train Trio picks were made on our Acetal guitar pick material, and we really liked the look of their full bleed yellow and black design. To create and order your own custom picks, be sure to visit www.claytoncustom.com today!

Pick of the Week — Tudor Adrian Negru/Ronin/Anomaly

This week’s Pick of the Week was ordered by Clayton customer Tudor Adrian Negru. Tudor is a “previous guitar player in Romanian heavy-metal bands Refractara, Ronin and currently lead-guitar in a newly established band called Anomaly (http://www.facebook.com/anomalybandcluj). With the main influences of the band straying more into the hard-core/metal areas but with a taint of nu-metal and hard-rock, Anomaly tries to bring something unique to the musical scene in Cluj-Napoca and Romania. The band is currently working on writing material for their first demo album which should be finished by July 2012 and have already had several live performances along with some of the most well established and appreciated bands in the scene.
In order to bring that huge metal grind to the overall sound of the band, using heavier string gauges really does make a difference. Still, a common challenge that every guitar player in this genre faces is how to keep the tone tight and defined while also making it easier on yourself when playing heavy gauges.”
Tudor explains how he found Clayton picks: “Having being recommended Clayton USA and being handed a custom Clayton pick some time ago by one of the most established metal guitar players in the field, Balauru’ of Trooper, the search for that missing and much-needed element ended. It wasn’t long until I turned to have my own custom order with Steve Clayton USA. I find it that the Acetal 1.9 mm gauge suits my needs perfectly. The matte finish really keeps the pick where and how you need it to be while the material-gauge combination means that I can finally get that attack, control and tone definition that I was very much searching for even in the middle of a crazy live gig.”
“The custom layout features the above mentioned 1.9 mm Acetal standard shape but with the “Ronin” logo which stands for “one with no lord nor master” inspired by Japanese culture. The custom design was provided by established artist Paul Pantazescu (www.paulpantazescu.com) and in conjunction with Clayton craftsmanship it screams attitude, professionalism and strength.” To order your own custom guitar picks like Tudor’s, visit www.claytoncustom.com today!

Pick of the Week — Whiskey Twin

This week’s Pick of the Week was made for the band Whiskey Twin. “Whiskey Twin is a Minneapolis band that plays an eclectic mix of rock and alternative covers, in addition to original songs.  The band met through a program at Minneapolis’ Twin Town Guitars, where bands play a set at a local bar after six weeks of rehearsals.  The members of Whiskey Twin enjoyed the experience of playing together so much they wanted to continue and play their own gigs.  They continue to hone their chops through ongoing involvement with one of Twin Town’s instructors, Mark Wade, who is also the bassist for the band The Melismatics.

The band is fronted by Mandy Simmons’ strong, confident and tender vocals.  Mandy is supported by three diverse guitarists; Ed Fruin, Ed Wilms and John Morris.  The band’s heartbeat comes from Tom Parsons on bass, and Tony Scott’s driving drums and occasional primal screams.

The band picked their name as homage to Twin Town Guitars, where they met; and Whiskey Junction, the bar in which they first played together.  Ed Fruin designed the picks and took inspiration from the labels on the bottles of premium spirits.” Whiskey Twins’ picks were made on our white pearl guitar pick material, which best supports parchment background and variety of color in the design. Pick of the Week — Sister Mary Tarantula

This week’s Pick of the Week is for the band “Sister Mary Tarantula.” They are a working rock band based in Houston, TX.  They have one independent album out, and they are currently writing material for their follow up album. The members of the band are: Mark Neely/Rhythm Guitar/lead vocals, Ernest Martinez/Drums, Pablo Gonzales/Bass, and Carlos Ulloa/Lead Guitar. Their style draws from a lot of classic heavy rock, such as Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio, Ozzy, etc… and they do a Dio tribute band as well called “Holy Diver.” Carlos was the member of the band who ordered custom picks from us. He says that, as a performer, he was a late bloomer into the guitar love affair. He started playing drums and took up the guitar at age 21. He has now been playing for 21 years, and he can seriously site his influences as “any one whom he has ever seen play!” but some of his favorites are the usual suspects of Vai, Pertrucci & Eric Johnson. You can sample the music of Sister Mary Tarantula here: http://www.myspace.com/sistermarytarantula They have a face book as well: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sister-Mary-Tarantula/190410009750 and here is a video of the band using Clayton picks!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0W6yhgg82E The band’s picks were created on our acetal material, which was the best to support their full color design with an overbleed that gives the pick the appearance of being dark red. Guns out at Sundown

Guns Out At Sundown is a band based out of Western Maryland, finding its beginnings in 2007 with the name LenorAstray. Original line-up included: Jamie Peterson-bass/lead vox, Mike Dennis-guitar, Nathaniel Raley-guitar, and Trav Hensley- drums. Shortly after, we introduced long-time, childhood friend Christopher Tepper to drums, and moved Trav to lead vocals. After many discussions, and a drive for more, the band changed its genre to create a heavier sound. In 2008, Nick Miller joined the band to fill the position of guitarist, but left the band after recording our first professional demo. In 2009, we added Ryan Crosco to the roster. The band recorded its full-length album entitled, “The Comfort In Chaos”with Johnny Burke at Chin Music Studios in Cleveland, Ohio (www.reverbnation.com/vibestudios) in November of that year, but due to a few personal issues, the band took hiatus, planning to return stronger than ever once our lives were back on track. In early 2011, Ryan Crosco decided to leave the band, with Nick Miller rejoining and filling the slot. Now, with a new name, and our final puzzle piece, Andrew Hill on bass, we’re back. Look for the album to release independently soon, along with a music video with FBS Films, and brand new merch.

Scottie Somerville of Tetanus

“Tetanus is a jam, that’s the best way to sum it all up. And I’ll dare to say this-Tetanus is the first band I have heard that really, truly makes the grunge sound of yesteryear come back to life. And if grunge isn’t your bag, that’s no problem, because Tetanus runs a triathlon. They do grunge, they do throwback rock ‘n roll, and they do present day modern rock. It’s hard to fathom that this is Tetanus’ rookie record, because few bands with several albums under their belt would be able to rekindle multiple eras of rock as flawlessly as Tetanus have.”— Tunelab Music (album review)
Tetanus is a full-service rock band from Memphis, TN. The 4-piece outfit puts an emphasis on songwriting and leaves nothing to be desired at their super-solid live show. Early 2006, this group of Memphis-bred musicians began writing and self-recording at 747 Studios- a rockhouse co-owned by producer Skidd Mills- where Scott Hardin (guitar, vocals) was employed. After many long nights of hard work by the band, Skidd heard the music and took an interest in the songs. The band subsequently signed on to Skiddco Music in January 2008 and quickly began adding to, tweaking and recording new songs for their debut self-titled release. 2009 brought opening slots for Saving Abel, Puddle of Mudd, Saliva, 12 Stones, and more. In November 2009 the band signed with Bieler Bros. Records and has set a March 16, 2010 release date for their debut label release, “Such a Loser.” Tetanus is comprised of Scott Hardin (Guitar and Vocals), Grayson Grant (Bass and Vocals), John “Effingham” Adams (Drums), and Scottie Somerville (Guitar).

The Campaign 1984

The Campaign 1984 is best described as a “dirty south” rock ‘n roll band from Asheville, NC. The band is comprised of founding members Matt Anderson on lead vocals/guitar and Justin Biltonen on lead guitar/backing vocals, as well as bassist Jordan Luff and drummer Springs Wade. The band was formed in Fall 2004 and immediately began writing and recording music. In 2005, they self-released “Jazz For Burning” and followed up with a tour up the East Coast. After a handful of other self-booked tours, the Campaign 1984 put out “Blood For Nashville” via Long Island’s Five Point Records. Here, the music began to shift away from earlier hardcore leanings and more towards a heavy rock influence. With less screaming and more singing and musical dynamics, they were beginning to establish themselves in a realm of raunchy, riff-based rock and roll. This vision became fully realized on the 2008 digital self-release “Southern Gentlemen”. After two years of constant touring, they recorded this third album and released it for free via their website. The album was written and recorded in 2007 in between several national tours; they also put out a music video with director Ramon Boutviseth (Trivium, Sanctity, Papa Roach) behind the camera. In 2008, 2009, and 2010, the Campaign 1984 began work on what would become their fourth full-length album, “Sessions”. These three years saw the band head to Nashville, TN to work with producers Chris Henderson (guitarist for 3 Doors Down) and Roger Alan Nichols (Paramore’s “All We Know is Falling”) during three separate studio sessions. The four songs recorded with Nichols was titled the “Black Magic Revival” EP and was pressed as such before being combined with the other two recording sessions with Henderson. The 11-track CD was released on July 3rd, 2010. This album showcases the next stage of evolution in their sound: an aggressive yet accessible blend of hard, southern-fried riffage, catchy choruses, and lyrics poison-tipped with sex, cynicism, and social satire.

Nick Ruroede of Lost In Society

Lost in Society is an Alternative/Pop Punk band based in the Asbury Park area of New Jersey. The band was founded in 2004 and is currently comprised of Zach Moyle on guitar and lead vocals, Nick Ruroede on bass and back up vocals and Hector Bonora on drums. Lost in Society had an original history of covering songs but for the last four years have been writing their own songs thanks to the exceptional talent of Zach Moyle, the lead guitarist. This very entrepreneurial band began booking their own shows with one of their first appearances at the PNC Arts Center in New Jersey. In 2005 as the bands music and rousing stage presence became evident, they began their association with Jersey Shows, a production company that books bands around Monmouth county in New Jersey. They had several exhilarating shows in venues such as The Stone Pony , The Saint and Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park, Chubbys in Red Bank, NJ and summer concerts at Bar “A” in Belmar, NJ and Seaside Music Festival as well as Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. They were then introduced to Jon Leidersdorff of Lakehouse Music, NJ in 2006 who produced and recorded their first EP titled “GONE”. While continuing thrilling audiences young and old, they entered Jersey Shows 8th annual Battle of the Bands. Out of 160 bands they placed 4th at the finals at Starland Ballroom, Sayreville, NJ. Since that time they have continued to play to various venues and were nominated for an Asbury Music Award in the category of Best Young Band in 2007, and Best Young Band and Best Punk/Reggae Band for 2008 and again in 2009 which in 2008 had opened the award show at The Stone Pony. During the last two years, Lost in Society has found themselves playing yearly tours encompassing New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Ohio. You can also hear them on local college radio stations such as Monmouth University,88.9, Brookdale College, 90.5, and Seton Hall ,89.5 and many others. Most recently, with the release of their 2nd CD “Eastern Empire”, they are now affiliated with AAM (Advanced Alternative Media) contact person David Casagrande. Lost in Society can also be heard on Reverbnation (ranked #3 best local artist in Asbury Park out of 144 bands), Rhapsody, Jukebox Alive, iTunes, CD Baby, Indierythym and Interpunk. Management for Lost in Society is Kimberley Bierley, Colie Brice for Aeria Records and legal management by Anthony Caruso. Lost in Society generally plays an electric set of original music and select covers providing guitars, amps and drum kit. Acoustic venues are also taken into consideration. Through the ever growing talents of these three young musicians, Lost in Society will be a band that will resound through the years and continue to attract a solid, well rounded fan base.

Geno Carlson of Wild Colonial Bhoys

Geno was no more than 3 years old when he saw someone on TV playing a guitar. That was it! Geno knew then and there what he was going to do. By the time he was ready for his first guitar (at age 7), he had saved up enough money to buy it himself. The 3/4 scale Anjo acoustic guitar that cost $100 all those years ago has led this Canuck to a passion for fun, energetic Celtic Rock that Rocks! Geno plays guitar in the band Wild Colonial Bhoys. Started in 2003 as a pub duo by Geno Carlson and Adam Coolong, this band has become a five-piece celtic rock powerhouse featured promenantly at Irish festivals throughout the Midwest.  They’ve performed with such bands as the Young Dubliners, Gaelic Storm, and Flogging Molly.

Cask Thomson

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Cask Thomson is a maverick in the inspirational rock world. He
defines any easy pigeonhole. By turns, he picks an electric guitar to accompany his ballad,
sings a witty song about modern life, plays an eccentric bluesy guitar solo, belts an angry tune
and then reaches deep for a soulful expression of values in a troubled world. He tops it all with
an array of meaningful words and melodies— all skilfully blended into a seamless flow. One fan
said Its music that makes you think makes you wonder and then strikes your heart and eyes.

A mainstay on the inspiration rock circuit these past few years, Cask has toured as a session
guitarist with many Sydney artists. His debut album reached number 8 in the iTunes charts in
Mexico in 2009. Thomson is currently working on his follow up album and has told that it will
be very different and will contain many soft and heavy elements.

Innovative Pick!

Sometimes at Clayton, Inc., we get a custom pick design that comes out so well, we just want to show it off! Here is an example of one of these designs. This design is for a company called Innovative Knowledge, and we love the color scheme of the artwork. On the front of the pick is the company name with the logo that they use, and on the back is a two-word description of the company (educational software), and the slogan that ties the company with these guitar picks: “It Rocks.” This is a perfect example of how a non-music related business can still effectively use guitar picks as a promotional item. They also did a great job at including the information about the company that they wanted without filling up the guitar pick with too much tiny text. This design was placed on our white delrin picks, which was a perfect choice. The bright white of the white delrin material is best for making bright colors, such as those in this design, really pop out. Delrin is also recommended over acetal picks if the design is two sided, because the white delrins do not have any transparency. White delrin picks are available in three gauges: .8, 1, and 1.26mm. They are only available in standard shape, but they can have single or full color printing. Show off your awesome design skills by working with our custom design interface at www.claytoncustom.com.

Summer Designs For Summertime

These picks show what summer is about. Weddings, butterflies, and enjoying nature are all popular during the summer season. These were all done on our white delrin custom guitar picks. The black and white wedding couple design is an image you can find on our claytoncustom.com website. Our white delrin custom guitar picks start at just $39 dollars for 100 picks. What impresses me about our white delrins is they provide such a comfortable grip and they have a very clean white look. Let’s not forget that they are as light as a feather. Show what you love about summer on your picks! You can create custom picks by clicking here!

Text Only: The less-than-100 option

Sometimes, visitors to our custom website are curious to know if there is anyway to get custom picks made in a set of less than 100 picks, because 100 is the minimum quantity for most of our custom orders. But the answer is yes! We offer text-only picks as an option for those customers who are not ready to order 100 picks yet. Text-only picks are made on our colored delrin material. The only stipulations are that they come in standard shape only, and cannot have any graphics in the design. They are available in each of the colors of delrin that we normally offer: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. This is also a great option for party picks, especially if you want a variety of colors. You may order a set of 30 for $24.99 or a set of 60 for $32.99. Visit our custom website today to design your own text-only picks!

Pick of the Week, Dylan Duncan

This week we selected a beautiful pencil sketch that we reproduced on our Acetal guitar picks by Dylan Duncan.  Dylan explained the purpose of the bicycle on his pick to us below: “The bicycle art and Bicycle on the Ice song on the record, is inspired by an old photograph taken in 1962 by my dad in Vermont. It’s a great photo of a bicycle alone on an iced over lake and the feeling I got from the picture seemed to take on a whole new meaning that related to my own life. At the time I was feeling like I didn’t belong where I was currently living and so when I stumbled upon the lone bicycle on the ice, I realized it, too, didn’t belong where it was. I felt the need to write about it and it became one of the central themes and inspired the album artwork, including corresponding materials like
buttons and these guitar picks.
”  We thought this was an amazing way to let your music be inspired, even by the most unexpected things. Dylan has an album set to be released this summer called What To Keep & Let Go.  He currently has a great blog that you can follow while he creates his album located at: http://www.dylanduncan.com/whattokeep

Hot Stamp Foil Picks

Clayton fans have you tried our new hot stamp foil picks?  Just below to the right you’ll notice I have shared some of the styles people have come up with recently. What makes the picks unique is the foil provides a shiny look that catches the eye. There are many colors to choose from for the picks. For the foil color options you may choose our popular silver, gold, red, or purple foil. The hot stamp foil picks are definitely a popular item because of the sleek looking material and bright foil. Eric Church 2010 Tour Picks

Eric Church is one of our endorsed artists and we just wanted to let you know he is one of country’s hardest working artists. We could say working a little bit too hard after last fall.   While performing in New York, he was stomping so hard on stage that he hurt his ankle. He still finished the show and is ready to set the stage for his 2010 tour with our Clayton custom picks. Here are the picks you might get at one of his shows if you’re lucky. He’s already sold out for this Thursday’s show at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville.  Church’s picks are the white pearl rounded triangle with the gauge at 1mm.  The white delrin 1mm standard pick is another choice for Church. He has a top 10 hit with his song “Love Your Love the Most,”
one of his songs on his new Carolina album. Another big hit on the album is “Hell On the Heart.” Eric is a rising star that we are excited to follow this year. We look forward to supporting Eric Church during his 2010 tour.

If you are an artist that is also interested in becoming endorsed by us, you may mail us information regarding record label, band picture, tour schedule, and type of Clayton picks you use. There is a full list of information you can find through our contact information on our Steve Clayton website. Any questions you have for us you may email to questions@steveclayton.com.
