Defiant Angel is one of our newest endorsees. The band is from Birmingham, Alabama and has some upcoming shows in the area, we would recommend checking them out. Their cover of Slither is awesome! John won the local Colgate Country Showdown in Upstate NY and had a song on Christian Country Radio with “Just Love Her” in 2003. He has toured the USA and opened for acts Ricochet, Daryl Worley and Craig Morgan just to name a few. He has played lots of festivals, including Nashville’s CMA Festival and was the house artist in 2008 at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville.

John Karl is the next big thing, with the right attitude, music, and performance style. He can get wild and pull out a tear-jerker right behind it. He knows what the fans want and he gives it to them.
Growing up in Niskayuna, N.Y., John has loved music all of his life and began singing at a young age. After high school he studied Graphic Design, was part of a professional water-ski team called the Coors Light U.S. Water-ski Show Team where he produced and performed the show and was a local Club DJ. While singing at a ski team function, a local funder made him an offer he could not refuse and helped him go to Nashville.

John moved to Nashville on Labor Day of 2002. He spent the next two years learning everything he could about the Nashville music business. He networked and got into writing circles and formed the duo Kalamity Jane. Soon after John went solo and began work on his self-produced album Redneck Rich Hillbilly Happy, released 2007.

As singer/songwriter John has a knack for a well turned phrase and is looking forward to his new CD “Are You Ready For This”. Due out in late August 2010.”

We are excited to announce today about the new endorsed artists from the band “This Providence.” The band was formed in 2003 in Seattle, WA. They have three albums, Our Worlds Divorce, This Providence, and the newly acclaimed “Who Are You Now?” which just came out March 17th.  The new album features the hit “Letdown” which is in the video below. Daniel Young commented on how important it was to take all last year to produce the new album “Who Are You Now” by saying “We took a long time off the road before going into the studio because we wanted to write songs that were dripping with creativity and you can’t rush that,” Young explains, “I think the end result is much stronger because of that.” The album has a lot of energy and we are looking forward to following them this year. Eric Church is one of our endorsed artists and we just wanted to let you know he is one of country’s hardest working artists. We could say working a little bit too hard after last fall.   While performing in New York, he was stomping so hard on stage that he hurt his ankle. He still finished the show and is ready to set the stage for his 2010 tour with our Clayton custom picks. Here are the picks you might get at one of his shows if you’re lucky. He’s already sold out for this Thursday’s show at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville.  Church’s picks are the white pearl rounded triangle with the gauge at 1mm.  The white delrin 1mm standard pick is another choice for Church. Congratulations to Ian Severson becoming our new endorsed artist!  Severson currently is the guitarist for the band Future Leaders of the World. In 2004 the band was formed in Buffalo, New York recording a demo in Los Angeles.  They signed with Epic Records for their full release of LVL IV featuring the hit “Let Me Out.”  Future Leaders of the World has their sound comparable to the Nirvana grunge.

Severson has also played as guitarist for the band Gingerjake.  He was given the name as “shrediculous” while playing with Gingerjake in 2003.  The band recorded with producer Cameron Webb who also produced Tenacious D.  “Karats” was a big hit getting lots of airplay on the Mpls station 93x.  Congrats again Ian for becoming our new endorsed artist!  We look forward to supporting you with our Clayton guitar accessories and specialized custom picks.
