2 Time VRMA Award Winning Shock Metal Band
WINNERS OF THE 2013 VRMA AWARD FOR “BEST OF VEGAS”
WINNERS OF THE 2011 VRMA AWARD FOR “BEST SHOCK ROCK”
In early 2011 a band of miscreants came crawling from the darkest corners of sin city nevada. This pack of the undead and some not so dead come from many different genres of the unimaginable, yet their styles mesh seamlessly. They have an aggressive, hard, gritty edge that will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. I.D.S.F.A. released their first full length self titled CD in September of 2013 with songs about revenge, death, mayhem, and zombies, that is just the tip of the iceberg.
And if the music wasn’t enough to make you’re pubic hairs curl, the stage show is not to be missed either. along with their side-kicks “The Bio-Bastards”, I.D.S.F.A. is whipping up a frenzy with a new and exciting show. it’s filled with drum beating zombies, an 8-foot anti-aircraft gun, washed up sea creatures from the japan tsunami, plus much much more. But wait, There’s more. The only Bleeding Bass guitar in existence is sure to make your jaw drop.
I.D.S.F.A. consists of Knuckletooth on vocals, Travesty on the Bleeding Bass, Dr. Skum on the drums, R.I.P. on guitar and The Bio Bastards with their on stage antics.

Hey Clayton Fans! Check out these awesome picks!
These really stood out to me because I have, as most people have, seen the Pink Floyd logo many many times, but I have never seen it so amp-ed up! I love how this customer took the classic logo and gave it a really modern detailed look for the cover band logo. The colors are amazing, and this graphic turned out super well on our acetal guitar pick material! So here’s my challenge to all you cover bands out there; take the logo of the band you are covering, and give it the Floyd Factor make-over! To start creating, visit www.claytoncustom.com today!
Summer is upon us! For all of those summer camps that are starting up, what better way to advertise than by passing out custom guitar picks with your summer camp logo/website! The picks shown in this image were made on our white pearl guitar pick material, but we offer a variety of other pick materials for custom printing, including Eco-friendly picks! I personally love elephants so I had to show off this cool custom guitar pick design! These picks were made for musical artist Florent Mothe.
Check out these custom picks made for the band Nest of Snakes!
The design is a simple black artwork, and it was made on our yellow delrin pick material. Even thought the colors are basic, we liked the intricacy of the design and how it fits really well into the pick shape…they just look cool!

“Nest of Snakes is a trophy case of local talent. It consists of Jason Boten formerly of Superchief, who plays guitar and sings, Larry Enos who also plays with Sons of Walter on bass, Tom Brighton who splits his time with September on guitar and vox, and drummer Derek Deutramont who was formerly with the Albino Spiders.
Their sound is heavy but not all-encompassing. It’s composed of a variety of different influences from all over the rock and roll map. The two tracks I heard brought to mind such classic acts as Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, but I also heard glimpses of early Soundgarden and Motorhead. Despite having a heavy foundation, the music is also rich with melodies, a trait that sometimes gets lost in the Des Moines metal scene.”

Check out these cool picks! We loved the blue Flotsam design that was submitted for custom guitar picks by the band Treading Lemmings. This art was printed on our acetal guitar picks, which work great for graphics that include color backgrounds that cover most of the guitar pick, such as the blue background in this design. We also liked how the fine detail in the creative logo turned out so well, even on small guitar picks!
In March 2013, The Treading Lemmings released “Flotsam”. The EP serves up five delicious new tunes. Much more akin to a fine dining experience than a to trip to the local diner;”Flotsam” provides depth, complexity, sweetness at times, and occasional bitterness for balance. With the typical lyrical finesse of Christopher Quinn, this project was also spiced up by some special guests: Nashville fiddle ace, Kurt Baumer, played on a homage to Keith Moon in “Goodnight Moon,” and inter-continental arrangement help was provided by the Dentists’ (seminal 90s Brit-pop) Bob Collins on “Doing Time On Placid Drive.”
To learn more about The Treading Lemmings, visit the following sites:
The custom guitar picks were created and ordered by Clayton customer Andy Hunt (aka Ricky), who plays rhythm (Rickenbacker) guitar for The Treading Lemmings. With the release of the new vinyl EP “Flotsam”, he wanted a new promotional pick to toss from stage. He worked with artist Carl Yonder www.carlyonder.com to take his artwork from “Flotsam” and turn it into a guitar pick design using the Clayton custom design tool.

This week’s Pick of the Week was made for the band Standby Anchors.
The members of Standby Anchors are old enough to know better, but young enough to not care. The band offers amped-up power-pop with a dark side for those about to rock. The current line up of the band is: Mike Devine (lead vocals, guitar), Brent Anderson (drums), Bryan Scrivener (bass), and Phil Anderson (lead guitar, vocals). Standby Anchors is based in Kansas City and plays original songs that are best characterized as modern alternative/indie rock with a definite appreciation for alt rock sounds of the 80s and 90s through the present day. Members of the band have appeared in earlier projects that have toured across the United States and that have released records on indie labels.

On Reverb Nation: http://www.reverbnation.com/
The Standby Anchors picks were made on our white pearl material and we love how clean and professional their solid black logo looks on the marbleized white picks. Featuring a whopping eleven-piece band, its four sizzling female singers put this group way over the top in the best of ways. The band features lead guitarist Joe “Ciid” Birardi, rhythm guitarist Bill Tuohy as well as bassist Wendy Williamson, and third guitarist Kevin Losardo. Add drummer Brian Picardi, percussionist Gerry Mac, and keyboardist Andy Ilyinsky and you have a full stage of rock and roll veterans that put on an unstoppable show.
Birardi’s “big” idea stemmed from watching the same old delivery in club after club where the music was governed by the stereotypical four-piece format. The EOS frontline is impressive indeed. Made up of Theresa Wilson, Dawn Szollar, Danielle Zelenak and Patti Ogletree, the four dynamic beauties spin rock and roll harmony between shifting lead vocal duties while the band holds it down behind them and it’s never a dull moment.
EOS has worked closely with several New Jersey charities including: Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon, The NJ Elks Army of Hope, Operation Jersey Cares, and The Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski II Foundation. Thanks to you, they have been able to raise nearly $20K for these causes to date. All proceeds from their downloaded songs will be donated to our troops via Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon. EOS thanks you for your support! Find out more about EOS at www.eosrocks.com!
The EOS picks were made on our white pearl material, using the full bleed option that allows their design to fill the pick to the edge. We love the detail of their design, and the pearl is a great material to support the variety of warm color tones. Order your own custom picks today at www.claytoncustom.com!
This week’s Pick of the Week is for the band Captain Ivory; a Detroit-based, high energy rock band, that is putting their own spin on Motor City Rock N’ Roll. The group pulls inspiration from many different rock artists, including Led Zeppelin, the Kings of Leon, and fellow Detroiter Jack White. The combination of many different styles and genres makes their live show something to behold, and the band is quickly gaining traction in the Midwest. They just completed a live album recorded all in one take at Groovebox Studios, Detroit. The songs, along with videos and other information can be found on their website: http://captainivory.com
The Captain Ivory guitar picks were made on our white delrin pick material, and we appreciated the high level of detail and artistic quality in their logo. To order your own custom printed guitar picks, visit www.claytoncustom.com today!

Hey Clayton Fans! Every year, we issue a new catalog of our products, including new items that we have just added! Our 2013 catalog is now available to download and browse through at http://www.steveclayton.com/mag/index.html. We are very excited, because this year each catalog page features a photo spread of a high profile musical artist or band that uses Clayton picks. This way, you can get an idea of what type of Clayton picks are used by guitarists in the big-time music biz! Also, keep an eye out for a couple new guitar picks that we will be adding for sale on our site as 2013 gets rolling 🙂 Since Clayton has endorsement deals with musicians from a wide variety of musical genres, knowing what type of picks these artists use may also help you to figure out what picks will work best for you.
As many of you know, custom picks are not made solely for musicians. They are often used for advertising, weddings, and even as clasp-openers for jewelry. What we really love is when our customers can combine their love of music with other passions, and this is one of the most interesting combinations that we have heard of so far!
“Crush Junkies members came together with one intention; ‘rawk the dance clubs.’ Since the inception of Crush Junkies, support for the band has been overwhelming and clubs throughout the region have booked the band solid well into and through 2013.
What can you expect from a Crush Junkies show? A solid rock show of music from bands like Shinedown, Foo Fighters, Seether, Papa Roach, The Black Keys and other more modern rock bands as well as select classic cuts from Queen, U2, The Cult and others.
Crush Junkies is a 5 piece, 2 guitar rock band with strong vocals from all members. Previously, all the members have been gigging in clubs and festivals across the region in bands that included The Slangs, Cactus Hill, Saucy Jackson, The Distractions and Superholics to name just a few.”
Learn more about Crush Junkies on their facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/CrushJunkies?ref=hl!
The Crush Junkies picks were made on our acetal pick material. Acetal is known for being a grainy, not slip material, and the picks are great for imprinting with a variety of light-to-dark shades as shown with the colorful Crush Junkies artwork. They also took advantage of the full bleed option for their design, which allows for the artwork to go all the way to the edge of the guitar pick for full coverage. “From the glitz and glamour of performing 6 years professionally in Las Vegas to the wide open spaces of Southern Idaho, Jason Lugo, Southern Idaho Living’s co-owner and publisher, is making a full circle in the music world. After a 16-year absence from the stage, Lugo and his self-titled band bring to Idaho a fusion of modern country and rock music that is in demand.
Playing in clubs and restaurants and for special events throughout the Magic Valley with upcoming dates as opening acts for country artists including Montgomery Gentry & David Nail, the Jason Lugo Band is quickly drawing an ever-growing fan base.
After playing at Canyon Crest in Twin Falls for only a matter of months, the band packed its lounge so consistently that they were moved to the main restaurant on a bigger stage with more room for expanding crowds.
The Jason Lugo Band is scheduled to play monthly at Canyon Crest in Twin Falls. If you plan on seeing them, be sure to call and reserve a table. Tables are often reserved up to two days prior to performances.
Jason writes about his use of Clayton custom guitar picks:
“I’ve been using Clayton picks since I first started performing/gigging 18 years ago in Las Vegas. I still have my ‘lucky pick’ for all the opening acts I’ve done way back when.. it’s over 16 years old. I’m a graphic artist and built the logo and design on my picks… and I build lots of logos for other bands and artists.” Visit Jason’s art site at www.lugographics.com!
The Jason Lugo Band picks were made on our acetal pick material. Acetal is known for being a grainy, not slip material, and they are great for imprinting with a variety of light-to-dark colors as shown with the awesome Jason Lugo Band logo, created by Jason himself. This week’s Pick of the Week is for the band Brothers N Arms. “Brothers N Arms is a Texas power trio that is tearing up the regional rock scene. Started in 2010 from a simple online ad, they have blown up to be one of Texas’ up-and-coming rock bands. Daniel and Jesse are the two members of the band who ‘wield these great custom made picks by Clayton USA.'”
“Brothers N Arms was conceived in central Texas when the Vines brothers got together to jam with bassist, Jesse James. The three realized from that first day that they had enough common ground musically to start a new project. As the weeks passed, the trio placed the framework for a powerful project that became known as Brothers N Arms. The sound of the group is a blend of influences that range from Metallica to POD, from Nirvana to Zeppelin.”

We had to feature this design for custom picks because the team at Clayton all loved it! It is a very youthful, colorful design with the catchphrase “Doin’ It My Way” and it reminded us that it is very important to encourage kids to pursue their musical interests! If you know a young person who is just starting to get interested in guitar playing, custom picks are a great way to get them extra excited about following their dreams! We can print all types of designs on picks, so you can even scan in a design that a child has created to really give that special touch that lets them know they are a rock star. The holidays are coming and custom picks are awesome stocking stuffers! Order your custom picks today at www.claytoncustom.com!
With the urge to play fierce and powerful horrorpunk they set their goal to conquer, scare and entertain the citizens of this planet. With a plan to fright, bite and fight their way to the top they create music with a lot of attitude, horror and large sense of humour making it a great combination of what any ear should expose itself to.
But beware, some people say their songs are so awesome they kill you while you sleep. So remember, only a headshot kills a zombie.”
This week’s Pick of the Week is for artist Lisa Matassa. Operatically trained as a child, and with a resonantly powerful pop voice, Lisa recorded two top-10 dance singles before she was 20. The songs were huge hits in the U.S. and abroad, earning her performing slots in concerts with such acts as Taylor Dayne, Brenda K. Starr and TKA. Born on Long Island, but raised in south Florida, Lisa had always loved singing along to records by Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Johnny Cash, and she realized more and more that country music was where her heart was. Capitalizing on country’s contemporary rock-tinged arrangements, Lisa found she could blend the natural heartfelt soul of country with her own stylized brand of New York edginess. She is now considered Long Island’s first bona fide country artist and has opened shows for Dierks Bentley, Leann Rimes, Thompson Square, Eric Church and, most recently, Ronnie Dunn at a “Vets Rock” concert at Brookhaven Amphitheatre in Farmingville, NY. Recently, Lisa was asked to sing the U.S. and Canadian anthems during the Delaware Ohio County Fair as part of the event’s prestigious Little Brown Jug harness racing event, which draws thousands of fans annually. As Lisa’s career gains momentum, and her new-release album Somebody’s Baby continues gathering national attention through digital downloads, streaming and radio programming, it’s a sure bet Long Island won’t be the only place where the name Lisa Matassa generates real excitement in country music.
To find out more about Lisa, visit her sites:
Lisa Matassa’s custom guitar picks were made on our white pearl material. The white pearl is perfect for the gradient quality of her red-orang-yellow logo, and gives the graphic a 3-D appearence.
