Sometimes we get so caught up in featuring our different guitar pick and custom pick items, we forget to showcase our other guitar accessories! For example we offer two types of guitar polish; Pro Lemon Oil Polish and Pro Shine guitar polish. You may be wondering what the difference is between these two items and what would work best for you. Here is some further info:
Pro Lemon is an oil-based shine. It can be used to polish your guitar or piano, even your furniture, and condition your fret board.
The Pro Shine guitar polish is special, as it will not lead to any wax build-up from continual usage.
Both are non-toxic. Be sure to shake guitar polish before applying. Both products offer the same high quality finish for your guitar; it is just a matter of personal preference for which one is chosen.
To order your Pro Lemon or Pro Shine polish, visit http://www.steveclayton.com/polish.php today! Both items are available for only $4.98 per bottle!

Looking for a premium pick that will stand the test of time? ZZ-Zinc picks are a new Clayton item that was added to our product line this year! These picks are crafted out of genuine Zinc alloy metal. They are made for producing tones that are clear and high, along with punchy bass and unprecedented volume, due to their heavy mass/metal composition. These picks are popular amongst electric, acoustic and bass guitarists alike. To help maintain grip on the picks and prevent slipping since they are metal, we have added a matte finish and a reversed embedded epoxy logo. These are heavy-duty picks that are designed to last throughout years of guitar playing! They are available in both a 1.0mm and 2.0mm gauge. We just wanted to share Tallboy’s Announcement of their new single with you!
After having successfully released two previous albums, We Aren’t The Championsin 2009 and This Logic Will Destroy Us in 2011 Tallboy www.facebook.com/Tallboymusic gears up to release their third installment “Expectations and Resentment”, and have decided to give the fans / public a single “Subtle” before the hard release on July 24th, 2012. It’s become evident that the direction of writing with lyrics and composition has evolved based on the fans response to the prior releases. Staying true to their high energy music definitely runs con-current with Tallboy’s exhausting off the hook live show that can be described as a hyperactive Tasmanian Devil out to cause mayhem and chaos in the constant use of antics that involve the fans directly. Expectations and Resentment will deliver 11 powerfully insane tracks with the lineup and order TBA in the CD Press Release … July. “Through our constant struggle to explain our surroundings and the people in it we bring you our new chapter, “Expectations and Resentments. Our new single “Subtle” defines the child in us all, escaping the judgement of the rest. With this onslaught of riffs, it’s like a high five to the face…. with a brick.” quotes Jimmy Roberts, Tallboy’s frontman and lead singer.
Tallboy gave their fans a jolt and teased them with few new tasty treats in untested waters at the show finale of Tortured Souls Tour, April 28th at the Hawthorn Theatre in Portland Oregon. Having never performed at this venue, it was a true test for Tallboy and they certainly did not disappoint as the crowd loved every second of the outrageous stage show. You can hear the new song Subtle here at www.reverbnation.com/tallboy. Tallboy recently signed to Rage On Stage Management where in the next month plans for a short run tour supporting the CD release will be announced. Frank James, President of ROSM www.rageonstagemgmt.com says “It’s one of the most exciting bands I’ve had the pleasure of working with. The undeniable talent and musicianship that Tallboy brings to our roster simply expands our horizons to higher levels.”
This week’s Pick of the Week was ordered by Clayton customer Tudor Adrian Negru. Tudor is a “previous guitar player in Romanian heavy-metal bands Refractara, Ronin and currently lead-guitar in a newly established band called Anomaly (http://www.facebook.com/anomalybandcluj). With the main influences of the band straying more into the hard-core/metal areas but with a taint of nu-metal and hard-rock, Anomaly tries to bring something unique to the musical scene in Cluj-Napoca and Romania. The band is currently working on writing material for their first demo album which should be finished by July 2012 and have already had several live performances along with some of the most well established and appreciated bands in the scene.
In order to bring that huge metal grind to the overall sound of the band, using heavier string gauges really does make a difference. Still, a common challenge that every guitar player in this genre faces is how to keep the tone tight and defined while also making it easier on yourself when playing heavy gauges.”
Tudor explains how he found Clayton picks: “Having being recommended Clayton USA and being handed a custom Clayton pick some time ago by one of the most established metal guitar players in the field, Balauru’ of Trooper, the search for that missing and much-needed element ended. It wasn’t long until I turned to have my own custom order with Steve Clayton USA. I find it that the Acetal 1.9 mm gauge suits my needs perfectly. The matte finish really keeps the pick where and how you need it to be while the material-gauge combination means that I can finally get that attack, control and tone definition that I was very much searching for even in the middle of a crazy live gig.”
“The custom layout features the above mentioned 1.9 mm Acetal standard shape but with the “Ronin” logo which stands for “one with no lord nor master” inspired by Japanese culture. The custom design was provided by established artist Paul Pantazescu (www.paulpantazescu.com) and in conjunction with Clayton craftsmanship it screams attitude, professionalism and strength.” To order your own custom guitar picks like Tudor’s, visit www.claytoncustom.com today!

Formed in 1985, Infinity grew from being not only a Journey Tribute band, but one of the top drawing cover – bands in the Midwest.Two-plus decades rocking the hundreds of local music festivals lighting up the Chicago suburbs each summer have put Infinity in front of hundreds of thousands of fans. Consequently, the band has built an incredible following, making them the Top most successful cover bands in the nation’s third-largest metropolis. Infinity continues to break attendance records at Clubs and Festivals across Chicago and the Midwest. But more importantly, Infinity maintains the intangible ability to include the audience and make them feel as if they are part of the show. A quote from the Lead singer Bob ” this is not our show, it’s yours” Infinity enjoys thousands of fans young and young at heart, who sing along and become the chorus to their music. This is the difference between performers and genuine entertainers. Perhaps this is the reason for the perpetual following and return to area Festivals and Clubs across the Midwest year after year after year.

Today we wanted to share a little bit about one of our endorsed bands Top Dead Center ! Top Dead Center is truly a band to be reckoned with. Hailing from San Antonio, Texas, Top Dead Center has a contagious and intoxicating sound as brutal as the South Texas sun on the 4th of July. Their unique mix of influence from southern rock, vintage bar rock, and true heavy metal make Top Dead Center a true locomotive of music mayhem with a stage presence that guarantees a good time. Imagine the modernized bastard child of Mötley Crüe and Slayer having conceived Top Dead Center in the bed of a pickup truck outside Floore’s Country Store while Willie Nelson performed Whiskey River . . . it’s as brutal and awesome as that. Always a forward moving powerhouse of rock’n’roll wreckage in the South Texas region, the whiskey bent lineup have already recorded their debut album titled “A Train Ride to Hell,” which is available now. A brief tour through major cities in Texas will follow to support this release. Each member has an extensive musical history and experience in the Texas music industry. IN September 2010 TDC had an opportunity of a life time by opening up for rock legends KISS, after a three month competition with over 200 bands. Top Dead Center have shared the stage with several other regional and national acts with future goals to continue recording, touring, and spreading the South to every part of the U.S. . . . and then the rest of the world.
