Pink Elephants on Parade

I personally love elephants so I had to show off this cool custom guitar pick design! These picks were made for musical artist Florent Mothe.

Florent’s first album “ROCK IN CHAIR” is currently available on iTunes for download, or to Elephantspurchase as a CD in France.

We love the whimsical design of the picks. Also, note how the picks look like they are yellow, but they are actually white pearl in base. The “full bleed” print option was utilized, meaning that the yellow background extends all the way to the edge of the pick, making it look like it is actually a yellow pick. This is a great option if you are wanting to print multiple colors, but still have the look of a colored pearl pick, because our true colored pearl material can only support black ink designs.

Colored Pearl Custom Picks

Are you looking for a custom guitar pick in a color that perfectly fits your design? Try out our colored pearl picks! Shown below is an example of how a customer fit their design together with the colored pearl pick option:

The customer had the text “Hot Copper,” and they chose a flame graphic from our clip art library. Then, they chose a copper color for the picks so that all elements of the design go together!

Our colored pearl picks are the same celluloid material as the white pearl picks, but they can be custom color matched in addition to having a custom design printed on them. When you place your order, there is a full color palette to allow for the color choice for the picks. This is a great option if our other picks don’t come in the exact color you are looking for. Also, colored pearl picks are wonderful for weddings since they can be matched to specific wedding colors!

Shape Shift

The most popular choice for custom guitar picks is, hands down, our standard shape picks. But some guitarists prefer our rounded triangle picks. These are oversized shaped picks, with equilateral sides. Many guitar players like the larger size of these picks because they are easier to hold on to. This shape is available in a few of our different pick materials. We have rounded triangle in our colored delrin, acetal, ultem, colored pearl and white pearl material. Many designers also like to choose this shape simply for the fact that a rounded triangle pick will allow for more design space. Shown here are examples of designs that came out really well and were well-suited for this pick shape. So, if you would like to try something new, design your rounded triangle pick today at www.claytoncustom.com.

Brighten up!

Are you looking for a bright pick that will catch people’s attention? Or maybe you just want a very specific color for your guitar picks? Give  our colored pearls a try!  We offer colored delrin custom guitar picks, but sometimes we find that customers are looking for a very specific color that is not available in delrin. Also, the colors of the delrins are dictated by the gauges (for example, red = .5mm gauge), but sometimes someone is looking for a color of pick in a different gauge than the one offered for colored delrin. This is when we recommend the colored pearls because they come in a very wide variety of colors, and several gauges. For our colored pearl picks, we offer .3, .5, .63, .8, 1, 1.26, and we have both standard and rounded triangle shapes. Colored pearls make great wedding picks, because they can be matched to the color scheme of the wedding, and they have a classy, marbleized look. Design your custom colored pearls today…but don’t forget to make sure that your design is in black ink only!! Custom Design Site.

Maximize Your Design Space

Here at Clayton, we love to see the different designs that our customers submit to go on our custom guitar picks. Sometimes we notice that people want to include a lot of information on their picks, or they have a design that has a lot of detail and takes up quite a bit of space. We know that guitar picks are small, and sometimes it is hard to cram everything you want into a small space. This is why we wanted to offer a solution to the problem; learn how to maximize your guitar pick design space!! The first move is to choose the rounded triangle shape. Of course, the shape of a pick can be a personal preference for guitarists, but if you are focusing on the design aspect, the rounded triangle picks, like the ones shown here, will definitely give you the most design space. We offer rounded triangle in our acetal, white pearl, ultem, colored delrin, and colored pearl picks. Then, if you want even a little more space, choose the full bleed option in the website designer. This allows your design to run all the way to the edge of the pick, instead of having a border. All three picks shown in the image below are full bleed rounded triangle designs. Visit our custom design site to try out these options with your guitar pick art!

Easter Pearls

Easter is just around the corner, and we would like to draw attention to our colored pearl picks for the occasion! Aside from the colored delrins, the colored pearl picks are the only custom picks available in a wide variety of colors. Shown here are a few examples of what custom pick designers have created in the past. While we can only use black designs on the colored pearls, the options for the pick colors provide endless possibilities. Also, the colored pearls are available in six different gauges and can be created on both standard and rounded triangle shape. Here at Clayton, Inc. we have noticed that many people choose Clayton custom picks to add a little flare to their wedding receptions. Some picks simply include the name of the couple and

the date, while others choose to add matrimonial graphics. We even have a special section in our online custom designer that has images specifically for wedding picks. More durable than anything printed on paper, the custom wedding picks are the perfect favors to give out that will help your guests remember your special day. Shown here are a few examples of the wedding

picks that we love, printed on white delrin and acetal. Also, our own employee Rob chose to design picks for his brother’s wedding (shown at right on light blue pearl)and he says that his brother and sister-in-law

both loved the picks and appreciated the originality of the idea. If you are looking for a fun addition to your wedding, consider custom picks from Clayton!

St. Patty’s Picks

Well, March is just around the corner and we have already started noticing the designs that are indicating the coming of St. Patrick’s Day. We already love the combination of green and black, so why not create some custom shamrock guitar picks to help celebrate the occasion? We offer green delrin picks in .8 mm gauge, which are already a popular choice for custom picks year-round. We also offer green colored pearl picks, in varying shades depending on your taste. Only black designs can be printed on these picks, so if you are looking to create a green design, we recommend white delrin or acetal picks. Colored Pearl

coloredpearlLooking for a pick that is a specific color? We can help! We offer Color Pearl in almost every color imaginable. We have a color chart on our designer that allows you to choose from 256 colors. Here are examples of some color pearl we did this week. These picks take 4-6 weeks for production. Because these picks are already so colorful the imprint color is black ink only. It stands out on just about every color. We often get asked if we can do a black pearl pick. We do not have black pearl but we can do a very dark gray. The color pearl picks are made out of the same premium celluloid material as our White Pearl picks. It is available in Standard, and Rounded Triangle shape in 6 gauges. This pick truly is an all around custom pick!

Sweetheart Picks

So through the years I’ve seen quite a few picks made that I label “sweetheart” picks. These picks have speical sayings for a loved one on them. red_picksWell, my boyfriend is being deployed to Iraq for a year (he is in the National Guard) so I thought I would make him some picks with 100 different love notes and inspirational sayings on them for when he is missing home. Even though they were ooey gooey he really appreciated them! If you are interested in creating custom guitar picks for someone who is deployed we can ship direct to any country, and can ship to APO addresses as well. The cost of shipping is only $14! I made his on Colored Pearl and the Rounded Triangle shape so that more text could fit on it. They made from our Colored Pearl picks in a color that he selected from our online color chart, and I think it couldn’t look more gorgeous with the pearl affect. The photo to the right is a scan of some of his favorite ones.
