One of our Clayton Customers is ready to wail on the guitar with these custom whale guitar picks! Okay, I admit that I chose these to post on our blog because I thought they were cute, but the design also happened to turn out really well! While we are able to do pretty detailed custom designs, it is often the more simplistic art, with bold colors and large text, that really turn out the best. These picks were made on our white delrin pick material, which makes the bright blue color really pop! To order your own custom picks, visit www.claytoncustom.com
Here are some cool new custom guitar picks ordered by one of our customers! :
These picks were made on our classic Ultem material. Ultem picks are known for best resembling the sound quality of a true tortoiseshell pick without being actually made from tortoiseshell. They are light tan/gold in color, and they work great with brown and black designs like the one shown. The shape of these picks is rounded triangle, which is a popular choice amongst bassists. Also, keep an eye out for a couple new guitar picks that we will be adding for sale on our site as 2013 gets rolling Since Clayton has endorsement deals with musicians from a wide variety of musical genres, knowing what type of picks these artists use may also help you to figure out what picks will work best for you.
Here at Clayton, we love to learn about some of the creative ways that customers use custom printed guitar picks, and we have one to share with you that is perfect for the holidays! Our customer, Amanda, orders custom picks to be made into earrings that she sells online. You can check out her website, www.Earrpix.com. We love how she has the picks printed here, but then she assembles the earrings herself, adding beads and metallic swirls to give them a very professional and stylish look. She has created some specialty designs just for the holidays too! See some examples below:
These earrings make for a wonderful gift idea! The following is an excerpt from Amanda’s site that describes the earrings:
“Like the guitar itself, the pick has become an art form. Small in stature, the most sought-after concert will come to a silent halt without the band’s lead and rhythm players each grasping a tiny plectrum to command their instruments. We share your appreciation, and present our line of signature Earrpix Earrings. Whether worn in tribute to your favorite guitarist, to the beauty and splendor of the music created with them, or just because they are fun, interesting, and sure to invoke a smile and comment whenever worn, pick a pair or two and make your own statement.”
The holidays are numerous, but one thing that they all have in common is that they are swiftly approaching! Clayton, Inc., ships all orders from the USA, and we offer worldwide shipping, but you will want to plan for the extra transit time! Our free international shipping option has an average transit time of 4-5 weeks, so the best time to order and still get free shipping is now! This week’s Pick of the Week is for artist Lisa Matassa. Operatically trained as a child, and with a resonantly powerful pop voice, Lisa recorded two top-10 dance singles before she was 20. The songs were huge hits in the U.S. and abroad, earning her performing slots in concerts with such acts as Taylor Dayne, Brenda K. Starr and TKA. Born on Long Island, but raised in south Florida, Lisa had always loved singing along to records by Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Johnny Cash, and she realized more and more that country music was where her heart was. Capitalizing on country’s contemporary rock-tinged arrangements, Lisa found she could blend the natural heartfelt soul of country with her own stylized brand of New York edginess. She is now considered Long Island’s first bona fide country artist and has opened shows for Dierks Bentley, Leann Rimes, Thompson Square, Eric Church and, most recently, Ronnie Dunn at a “Vets Rock” concert at Brookhaven Amphitheatre in Farmingville, NY. Recently, Lisa was asked to sing the U.S. and Canadian anthems during the Delaware Ohio County Fair as part of the event’s prestigious Little Brown Jug harness racing event, which draws thousands of fans annually. As Lisa’s career gains momentum, and her new-release album Somebody’s Baby continues gathering national attention through digital downloads, streaming and radio programming, it’s a sure bet Long Island won’t be the only place where the name Lisa Matassa generates real excitement in country music.

Lisa Matassa’s custom guitar picks were made on our white pearl material. The white pearl is perfect for the gradient quality of her red-orang-yellow logo, and gives the graphic a 3-D appearence.

Today we are pleased to feature a blog about Rien ne va plus, a band from Austria that loves Clayton products! Rien ne va plus were formed in 2008. Due to the experience of every single band member
they decided to record their first demo cd, without having had one single live gig prior to the recording.
With the help of Lost Dreams, Rien ne va plus made substantial progress with their studio work, and so the demo was released at the end of September.
A short time after the release, Rien ne va plus got the chance to be the only support of Soulfly, based on the excellent feedback of their fans and the good reviews of a few online magazines. Furthermore, RNVP were voted under the Top 3 of Earshot magazine’s reader charts.
Shortly after that a new member joined RNVP: Mr. Able, on the turntables. A lot of great shows (and festivals) followed; for example the supports of Biohazard, Volbeat, Papa Roach and Exilia.
In 2012 Rien ne va plus went to Hollywood to record their new cd with the grammy-nominated producer Ulrich Wild, who worked with such bands as: Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, White Zombie and Static-X.
Rien ne va plus were supported with features by Shifty Shellshock (Crazy Town), Tony Camposs (Soulfly, ex-Static-X)– who even played the bass on the whole album–, Zoltan Farkas (Ektomorf), and Steven Medina Hufsteter (Tito & Tarantula).
So, while the songs are now in mixing process, Rien ne va plus is looking forward to getting things started! They wrote to us to let us know that they are proud to play with Clayton picks!
Check out this awesome YouTube video of RNVP:
And their photos with Clayon picks! RNVP, thank you so much for your supporty and loyalty! We appreciate you and all those like you who love their Clayton picks!

This week’s Pick of the Week was created by Christian Vasquez of Off The Turnpike.
“Since 2011, Off The Turnpike has made it their mission to wake up New York’s long dormant rock scene with a powerful and diverse sound all their own. The band’s hard rock roots are tempered with an emphasis on melody, grooves and the unexpected. From Andy Sexton’s soulful and commanding vocals, to Christian Vasquez’s driving guitars and the beastly rhythm section of bassist Shawn Abraham and drummer Steve Kurlat, Off The Turnpike is here to confound expectations and electrify fans of raw, honest, and uncompromising music. Drawing inspiration from music of all genres and fusing it into a cohesive and powerful mix, Off The Turnpike is blazing forward in surprising new directions. With the release of their self produced self-titled debut album, the band is pushing their music beyond New York and bring the news of rock’s revival to the hungry masses. You’re not ready. But they are.”
Off The Turnpike has been together for little over two years; Christian started the band with Shawn Abraham (bass). On August 25th they will be celebrating their one year anniversary of playing live shows with a live show at Fontana’s NYC. Their most recent achievement was the release of their debut album on June 19 of this year.
The Off The Turnpike picks were made on our white pearl material guitar picks, which have a marbleized quality and glossy finish that looks classy with the deep red logo of the band. To order your own custom picks, visit www.claytoncustom.com today!
As many of you already know, Bret Michaels is one of our featured endorsed artists. Bret Michaels started his career as the lead singer of the metal band Poisen. He also starred in the hit shows, Rock of Love with Bret Michaels , its sequels, and was the winning contestant on NBC’s reality show Celebrity Apprentice 3. He now tours the country with The Bret Michaels Band, and we were lucky enough to have him appear in our home of the Rogue Valley in Oregon! Needless to say, the Clayton team made it a priority to go to his concert and meet him in person. All of us had a fabulous time watching Bret, and his band members Dirty Ray and Pete Evick who we also supply guitar picks for. They put on a rockin’ show and we had the opportunity to meet him and take a photo after the concert was over. A big thanks to Bret, Ray, and Pete and other members of the band and tour group. We love working with you!!
