As many of you already know, Bret Michaels is one of our featured endorsed artists. Bret Michaels started his career as the lead singer of the metal band Poisen. He also starred in the hit shows, Rock of Love with Bret Michaels , its sequels, and was the winning contestant on NBC’s reality show Celebrity Apprentice 3. He now tours the country with The Bret Michaels Band, and we were lucky enough to have him appear in our home of the Rogue Valley in Oregon! Needless to say, the Clayton team made it a priority to go to his concert and meet him in person. All of us had a fabulous time watching Bret, and his band members Dirty Ray and Pete Evick who we also supply guitar picks for. They put on a rockin’ show and we had the opportunity to meet him and take a photo after the concert was over. A big thanks to Bret, Ray, and Pete and other members of the band and tour group. We love working with you!!
We just wanted to share Tallboy’s Announcement of their new single with you!
After having successfully released two previous albums, We Aren’t The Championsin 2009 and This Logic Will Destroy Us in 2011 Tallboy www.facebook.com/Tallboymusic gears up to release their third installment “Expectations and Resentment”, and have decided to give the fans / public a single “Subtle” before the hard release on July 24th, 2012. It’s become evident that the direction of writing with lyrics and composition has evolved based on the fans response to the prior releases. Staying true to their high energy music definitely runs con-current with Tallboy’s exhausting off the hook live show that can be described as a hyperactive Tasmanian Devil out to cause mayhem and chaos in the constant use of antics that involve the fans directly. Expectations and Resentment will deliver 11 powerfully insane tracks with the lineup and order TBA in the CD Press Release … July. “Through our constant struggle to explain our surroundings and the people in it we bring you our new chapter, “Expectations and Resentments. Our new single “Subtle” defines the child in us all, escaping the judgement of the rest. With this onslaught of riffs, it’s like a high five to the face…. with a brick.” quotes Jimmy Roberts, Tallboy’s frontman and lead singer.
Tallboy gave their fans a jolt and teased them with few new tasty treats in untested waters at the show finale of Tortured Souls Tour, April 28th at the Hawthorn Theatre in Portland Oregon. Having never performed at this venue, it was a true test for Tallboy and they certainly did not disappoint as the crowd loved every second of the outrageous stage show. You can hear the new song Subtle here at www.reverbnation.com/tallboy. Tallboy recently signed to Rage On Stage Management where in the next month plans for a short run tour supporting the CD release will be announced. Frank James, President of ROSM www.rageonstagemgmt.com says “It’s one of the most exciting bands I’ve had the pleasure of working with. The undeniable talent and musicianship that Tallboy brings to our roster simply expands our horizons to higher levels.”

Story of a ghost began their musical journey from the release of their single “Akimbo”, based loosely on the May 22 2011 tornado. Akimbo, was recorded in their home town of Joplin, Mo by producer Jerrod Naff, at Zombielife Studios. It has been featured on radio stations in their home state, as well as on the 2011 compilation cd for magazine, “The Dead Timez”. They are currently in the studio working on their self-titled e.p “Story of a ghost” that is expected for release on ITUNES and AmazonMP3 in early 2012. This week’s Pick of the Week was created for a unique band known as the Warrior Spirit Band. “They are the first all wounded warrior band in the US. Their mission is to bring awareness to various disabilities our veterans and soldiers face once they come home after war. They use music as a healing tool and a way to tell their stories of the experiences they had during combat and the struggles they have faced since coming home. Their goal is to make sure that every veteran that has a disability knows that there is help….and giving up is never an option! The Warrior Spirit band has the potential to do so much for our men and women of the armed forces that have sacrificed their ability to lead a normal life after being wounded or disabled in a combat zone. Warrior Spirit will help bring selected veterans outreach programs into the spotlight and will raise awareness of the struggles that our service men and women go through upon returning home and re-acclimating to a normal life.” Find out more about this amazing group at http://www.warriorspiritband.com/ Warrior Spirit Band’s picks were made on our white pearl material, which gives their logo an awesome 3-D effect and makes the gradient in the text really pop. Order your own custom guitar picks today at www.claytoncustom.com. And, if you are ordering custom picks as a holiday gift, hurry up!! Time is running out!!

We want to introduce Rico, Austin and Caleb of Forever The Sickest Kids who we have just recently endorsed! Here is a little about the band: “Success in the music business requires a magical combination of talent, perseverance and opportunity. The six young rockers in Dallas, Texas band Forever the Sickest Kids easily possess all this and more. They’re unquestionably gifted, ambitious and hard working, and in the eight months since they formed, they’ve repeatedly created their own opportunities – sometimes accidentally. Five days after their official formation, singer Jonathan Cook was flipping through the Pure Volume web site when, with a click of his mouse, he inadvertently spent $350 the band didn’t have on a front page song placement. Worse still, Forever the Sickest Kids didn’t have any songs written yet. So, over the next two days, the band members got together and banged out a track called “Hey Brittany,” then recorded it with their friend/producer Jeff Rockwell. “Buying that Pure Volume spot was an amazingly great mistake,” laughs guitarist Caleb Turman, noting how “Hey Brittney” quickly becoming the band’s first big break. “The song just took off and after that everyone was suddenly interested in us.” It’s easy to see why. “Hey Brittany” is a confectionary gem that combines elements of power pop, pop-punk, electro-pop and ‘80s radio rock into an unforgettable sing-along that resonates with the energy and vitality of youth. Contrary to popular belief, “Brittany” isn’t Britney Spears, but rather a girl who was engaged to be married, yet made no attempt to hide her affection for the members of the Forever the Sickest Kids”
Originating in Florida, childhood friends Ronnie Winter, Thomas Amason, and Duke Kitchens started the band while attending a AP music theory class, in 2003. The band name,’Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’, was chosen by the band voting for random words they threw up on a wall. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus released a “6 song EP CD that was spread throughout different cities to promote the band in 2005. The band also began to become more popular as they used certain social media (Myspace) to advertise their music. In 2006, they released their first LP, Don’t You Fake It with the singles “Face Down“, “False Pretense”, “Your Guardian Angel“, and “Damn Regret”.From 2006-2008 the band did several headliner and supporting shows with bands like 30 Seconds to Mars, Madina Lake, The Audition, Saosin, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Taking Back Sunday, Lorene Drive, The Used, Monty Are I, Amber Pacific, Boys Like Girls, Halifax, Emery, A Static Lullaby, and So They Say. Their second studio album, titled Lonely Road, was released on February 3, debuting in the fourteenth spot in The Billboard 200, and was produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Daughtry, Less Than Jake, Hoobastank, P.O.D., All-American Rejects, Seether, Cold). In November 2010, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus entered the studio to record their third full-length album, Am I the Enemy, finishing in December 2010 with producer John Feldmann. The album’s first single, “Reap”, was released via YouTube on March 24, although the song itself was not released to iTunes until April 26. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus later released two other songs from their new album on their YouTube channel, “Salvation” and “Fall from Grace”. A June 7 announcement on the band’s Facebook page said the new album Am I the Enemy would be released on August 30, 2011. It would contain twelve songs.

Here is a little about the band from their FB page, “Forming in January of 2011, going through some member changes but never giving up on the passion they have for the music they create, being known for their great live performances and strong Stage Presence they bring to every show. Allies Aside is a band about effort with the determination of being remembered. Not by looks, not only by talent, but just sharing our music with those who will listen….
