One Big Ending by Keith Moody

Jim Luparello of Car Party

Jim Luparello of Car Party has been endorsed with us since 2011. Here is a little bit about the band:

Car Party is an American pop-rock band from Baltimore, Maryland. Although they did not come under their current lineup until early 2011, they began their journey in late 2009 through a Craigslist ad posted by drummer, Taylor Hughes. Because of their pop-rock sound and tightly woven rhythm section, Car Party has been compared to the likes of Death Cab For Cutie, Jimmy Eat World and The Early November.

In 2010 Car Party released their debut EP, “Excuses” and quickly began work on their sophomore EP, “High & Low Places,” released independently in August 2011. For the follow-up effort, Car Party teamed up with producer and friend, Ace Enders, of The Early November and I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody’s Business – Ace is also featured on the single, “Please Me”. As credit to the band’s hard work, “High & Low Places” received a warm reception among fans and critics alike, landing them in Alternative Press, Substream Music Press and an exclusive interview in Modern Drummer magazine. The video for the single “Please Me” will be launched exclusively with Substream Music Press later this year.

In Fall 2011 the band was able to land an endorsement from Orange Amplifiers, begin a PR partnership with the New York-based firm Big Picture Media and wrapped up a successful US/Canadian tour. Dedicated to hard work and making music, the band has their sites set on the future with a new EP and an independent east coast tour in the works.

Car Party is Michael Natzke, Taylor Hughes, Chris Martin and Jim Luparello.

Go Radio

We have recently endorsed Alex, Matt and Jason of Go Radio! Here is a little bit about the band:
It’s a truly rare occasion when a debut by a band is met with the kind of feverish fan anticipation that has encircled LUCKY STREET, the full-length debut by Tallahassee, Florida melodic rockers GO RADIO. But then again, none of those other groups have JASON LANCASTER at the helm. The GO RADIO singer/songwriter, who’s been crafting unflinchingly honest, breathtakingly beautiful music since venturing out on his own in 2007, boasts arguably the most goosebump-inducing combination of raw vocal talent and songwriting prowess in rock today. Backed by a gifted band with two stellar EPs under their belts, LANCASTER and GO RADIO are only just beginning to explore the seemingly endless potential for their mind-blowing creations.

The band–which also includes bassist MATT “BURNS” POULOS, drummer STEVEN KOPACZ and guitarist ALEX REED–immediately turned heads with the release of their self-released EP Welcome To Life in 2008, which bowled over listeners with its poignant, heartfelt lyrics and irresistible melodies. Attracting the attention of Fearless Records, the band inked a deal with the label, releasing the band’s second EP, Do Overs And Second Chances, in 2010. The EP, which featured the stunning ballad “Goodnight Moon,” landed at #8 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, going on to sell more than 15,000 copies in the U.S. In that span the group has toured extensively, heading out on high-profile runs with A Day To Remember, Secondhand Serenade and the Fearless Friends Tour with Mayday Parade among others. Despite the early success, 2011 promises to be the band’s most pivotal moment to date.

Known for their kinetic live performances and intimate interaction with fans, a packed slate of touring in support of LUCKY STREET–including a full run on the 2011 Vans Warped Tour–is the other crucial ingredient in bringing such vital art to the masses. GO RADIO aim to recruit a bonafide army of listeners, from multiple genres, as diverse as the band’s inimitable sound.

“We constantly put ourselves out there. Any chance we get to reach a new audience and get new ears, we’re down for. We’re not going to say, ‘Because you like breakdowns, you’re not gonna like GO RADIO,’ because you might,” says LANCASTER. “That’s how you build these things–one fan at a time, brick by brick. If it weren’t for everybody latching onto the band and finding something they enjoy about it, I’d still be playing acoustic guitar in my den right now.”

GO RADIO’s new album LUCKY STREET is out now on Fearless Records.

Desert Rose

We recently just endorsed the band Desert Rose! They were founded in the Summer of 2009, through a love of Rum and a hatred for the lack of Rock N Roll in the music scene…. Desert Rose continue to spread their own unique brand of rock and chaos across the country!!! You can check them out at their websites below:

Forever The Sickest Kids

We want to introduce Rico, Austin and Caleb of Forever The Sickest Kids who we have just recently endorsed! Here is a little about the band: “Success in the music business requires a magical combination of talent, perseverance and opportunity. The six young rockers in Dallas, Texas band Forever the Sickest Kids easily possess all this and more. They’re unquestionably gifted, ambitious and hard working, and in the eight months since they formed, they’ve repeatedly created their own opportunities – sometimes accidentally. Five days after their official formation, singer Jonathan Cook was flipping through the Pure Volume web site when, with a click of his mouse, he inadvertently spent $350 the band didn’t have on a front page song placement. Worse still, Forever the Sickest Kids didn’t have any songs written yet. So, over the next two days, the band members got together and banged out a track called “Hey Brittany,” then recorded it with their friend/producer Jeff Rockwell. “Buying that Pure Volume spot was an amazingly great mistake,” laughs guitarist Caleb Turman, noting how “Hey Brittney” quickly becoming the band’s first big break. “The song just took off and after that everyone was suddenly interested in us.” It’s easy to see why. “Hey Brittany” is a confectionary gem that combines elements of power pop, pop-punk, electro-pop and ‘80s radio rock into an unforgettable sing-along that resonates with the energy and vitality of youth. Contrary to popular belief, “Brittany” isn’t Britney Spears, but rather a girl who was engaged to be married, yet made no attempt to hide her affection for the members of the Forever the Sickest Kids”

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

We recently just endorsed Joey, Randy and Josh of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus! If you don’t already know about the band here is a little more about them:

Originating in Florida, childhood friends Ronnie Winter, Thomas Amason, and Duke Kitchens started the band while attending a AP music theory class, in 2003. The band name,’Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’, was chosen by the band voting for random words they threw up on a wall. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus released a “6 song EP CD that was spread throughout different cities to promote the band in 2005. The band also began to become more popular as they used certain social media (Myspace) to advertise their music. In 2006, they released their first LP, Don’t You Fake It with the singles “Face Down“, “False Pretense”, “Your Guardian Angel“, and “Damn Regret”.From 2006-2008 the band did several headliner and supporting shows with bands like 30 Seconds to Mars, Madina Lake, The Audition, Saosin, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Taking Back Sunday, Lorene Drive, The Used, Monty Are I, Amber Pacific, Boys Like Girls, Halifax, Emery, A Static Lullaby, and So They Say. Their second studio album, titled Lonely Road, was released on February 3, debuting in the fourteenth spot in The Billboard 200, and was produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Daughtry, Less Than Jake, Hoobastank, P.O.D., All-American Rejects, Seether, Cold). In November 2010, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus entered the studio to record their third full-length album, Am I the Enemy, finishing in December 2010 with producer John Feldmann. The album’s first single, “Reap”, was released via YouTube on March 24, although the song itself was not released to iTunes until April 26.  The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus later released two other songs from their new album on their YouTube channel, “Salvation” and “Fall from Grace”. A June 7 announcement on the band’s Facebook page said the new album Am I the Enemy would be released on August 30, 2011. It would contain twelve songs.

The El Caminos

We just endorsed Jason of The El Caminos! Here is a little bit about the band from their website: If there is a common “happiness” thread through all people it would me music. Right?  Rich or poor; young or old; every walk of life; everyone likes music!  And along with music goes entertainment!  Who doesn’t like to be entertained?  Put those two items together and you have The El Caminos.  The band was put here to do just that: Play music and entertain people! They feel it’s their mission to make people smile, forget their cares for a little while, help people let loose, enjoy themselves, sing along like no one’s listening, dance a little (or a lot) and just have a great time in general! A lot of you that are reading this right now probably know something about the history of the band in some form or another; either you’ve discovered them recently and are new to the game or you’ve been around the block with them a few times and have seen the band grow… Either way, they’re going to include a short history of the band here, so hang on: It all happened way back in 1990. Jason was taking guitar lessons and he decided that he wanted to start a band.  He knew that Jeff played drums. So they talked things over. Jeff knew James and knew that James could actually sing.  So they talked things over. The three of them decided to form their first band together. They discovered that music was in their blood. They started out by playing Steve Miller and Mötley Crüe covers in Jeff’s parents’ basement. Through learning their instruments and playing shows the guys all grew up together as bandmates and friends. That band, which eventually came to be known as Silver Tears, played many shows all over Northeast Iowa and eventually all over the Midwest. In 1995, an album of original music was recorded and peddled.  Many more shows were played in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado and etc…The band eventually split up in 1997 and the guys all moved away and formed bands of their own. Some time passed and the guys found themselves living near each other again and the draw of playing music together just couldn’t be passed by. In 2005 they formed this thing that we now call The El Caminos. It started out as a “for fun” kind of thing, but the response to the band was so overwhelming that they couldn’t stop with just a few shows. They just kept on going and here they are today. Jason is still playing guitar, James is still singing, Jeff is still playing drums and Casey is playing bass guitar. The point of this short band history lesson is to point out that the boys have been playing together a LONG time. They’ve got a friendship and tightness that can’t be faked. You can see the love of friends, love of music and love of entertaining every time they step onto the stage and into the lights together. The band is a cover band. They play other artists’ songs.  It’s true. They don’t pretend they wrote the songs that they cover but they do take pride in playing them well and making them their own and they work even harder at entertaining the audience. By picking out the tried and true sing-a-long songs that seem to touch everyone they inspire and promote their credo;  Great Music and Great Times!

Attend any show and you’ll find out for yourself!

Guns out at Sundown

Guns Out At Sundown is a band based out of Western Maryland, finding its beginnings in 2007 with the name LenorAstray. Original line-up included: Jamie Peterson-bass/lead vox, Mike Dennis-guitar, Nathaniel Raley-guitar, and Trav Hensley- drums. Shortly after, we introduced long-time, childhood friend Christopher Tepper to drums, and moved Trav to lead vocals. After many discussions, and a drive for more, the band changed its genre to create a heavier sound. In 2008, Nick Miller joined the band to fill the position of guitarist, but left the band after recording our first professional demo. In 2009, we added Ryan Crosco to the roster. The band recorded its full-length album entitled, “The Comfort In Chaos”with Johnny Burke at Chin Music Studios in Cleveland, Ohio (www.reverbnation.com/vibestudios) in November of that year, but due to a few personal issues, the band took hiatus, planning to return stronger than ever once our lives were back on track. In early 2011, Ryan Crosco decided to leave the band, with Nick Miller rejoining and filling the slot. Now, with a new name, and our final puzzle piece, Andrew Hill on bass, we’re back. Look for the album to release independently soon, along with a music video with FBS Films, and brand new merch.
