“I like to have custom things, as my guitar and everything i’m using. And Steve Clayton have the coolest things on their website. Good Quality For Everyone.”
1986, Treponem Pal launches its very first sonic offensive.
Industrial-groove breaking meets electronic hacking and hardcore, metal and tribal banging… The quintet led by Marco Neves engenders a new sound. Brutal and lethal. Mind Opening is the main leitmotiv.
At the very same time, across the Channel and across the Atlantic, Godflesh, Ministry and a few others, experiment this new tendency too.
The future will put these noisy visionaries on the same groove.
1988, a first eponymous lp (” Treponem Pal “) is released on Roadracer, future Roadrunner. The seism shakes the Geiger counter and brings the last resistants down. If there are any left… Treponem Pal builds up a solid following and tours in Europe with Prong and The Young Gods.
1991, new line-up after the resignation of the bass player and the guitarist, who joins Hoax. The ” Aggravation ” lp contaminates the national and international press. Maximum Biohazard : Treponem Pal carries on spreading its nuclear breath. Its diversity becomes radioactive… The critics are ecstatic.
1992, the Treponem pachyderm is invited by Ministry on the Lollapalooza tour… A big first for a French band. The hype is optimal.
1993, ” Excess And Overdrive “, considered as the cult lp by the purists, collides the music industry. Produced by long-time friend Franz Treichler (Young Gods), the scud missile spreads terror in the Matrix… Whereas the flammable single “Pushing You Too Far” sets the dancefloor on fire.
1995, the sonically transmissible nephrotic syndrome signs on Mercury / Polygram. The buzz surrounding the five snipers has reached its paroxysm.
Sacha, cortex in chief of KMFDM, produces the ” Higher ” tank, recorded in Seattle’s Bad Animal studio (Soundgarden, Alice In Chains). Always heavier, always groovier, ” Higher ” confirms the heterogeneousness of the Parisian five-piece.
Openly hardcore, the entity led by Marco N. stages here an abrasive sonic gang bang where narcotic metal copulates with cyclo-thymic industrial, epileptic funk, hypnotic dub and minimalistic tekno (Kraftwerk’s classic ” Radioactivity ” cover). The Treponem machine has conquered the world. And all its rhythmic spheres…
1999, initiatory digression… Marco Neves, in charge of the Hammerbass label and of the Dub Action sound-system, focuses, just long enough for a cannabinic respiration, on his solo album ” Elephant System “, produced by On-U Sound’s grey matter , Adrian Sherwood. A consistent Tour accompanies this release. While he’s at it, the very much in demand brain of Treponem releases various compilations (Gothic Anthology, Rap Metal Masters, Big Up !! etc…).
2006, the call of the metallurgical Ganesh is stronger than everything. Fully recharged by his diverse percussive experiments, Marco gets down to work with Didier B. on the new virus. A new line-up is completed : Polak (guitars), Pierre (ex-Worm Machine, bass), Marto (drums) and Dread Fred (guitars) are transplanted in the tandem. More cutting edge and corrosive than ever, the free electron is ready to infiltrate the new millennium.
2008, the ” Weird Machine ” panzer is signed on Listenable Records (Gojira). With several inflammatory albums critically and internationally acclaimed under its belt, a pioneer’s career, various punchy and solid alliances ( Young Gods) and a number of first class invitations on international tours (alongside Nine Inch Nails, Prong, Ministry, Faith No More and Godflesh), the Parisian precursor of groovy industrial metal beats carbonizes its era with a new lp mixed with napalm.
Recorded in Geneva, coproduced by David Weber, Marco Neves (vocals, development), Didier B. (keyboards, samplers) and Polak (guitars), composed by those three band members and featuring very special guests, the late Paul Raven (eminent bass player of Killing Joke, Godflesh, Pigface, Prong, Ministry) and Ted Parsons (Swans, Prong, Jesu), the ballistic missile plans to crash into our boomers in April 2008.
Industrially toxic, metallic, electronic, ethnic, electric, psychedelic and always more eclectic, Treponem Pal signs with this noxious ” Weird Machine ” a proper declaration of war. A urban time bomb of a manifesto, pure weapon of massive destruction and distraction seriously dangerous and severely open minded.

Branded acetal, tear or normal shaped 1-2 mm picks
“Upon discovering the Steve Clayton picks, the branded acetal, tear or normal shaped 1-2 mm picks became the weapons of choice due to the fact that they are sturdy and great for riffing. The material does not let the pick slip through the fingers during a hot evening onstage when hands are sweaty and chances are you will lose an ordinary pick.”

Jude Toy and Erinn Bates officially formed The Darlins in 2011, but the buzzed about Nashville duo had already won competitions, booked major gigs, and turned many heads on Music Row for a while before they even settled on their name. Their unique blend of rockin’ country guitar riffs tinged with bluegrass infused mandolin and vocals, make this hot female duo a force to be reckoned with on the country scene. Their image, powerhouse songwriting, high energy performances, and soulful mountain harmonies elevate these girls high above the rest. Not only are they multi-talented instrumentalists, but their competitive songwriting skills have helped initiate a posse of superstar hit songwriters who they often collaborate with. The soulful guitar playing and rich harmonies of Jude Toy paired with rootsy mandolin strumming and the hauntingly beautiful voice of Erinn Bates makes one hit making team.
The Darlins met at the world renowned cosmetic company, Sephora, where both were makeup artists while pursuing music full time. Lead singer and mandolin player, Erinn Bates, who had just signed a major label deal, remembers seeing Jude at the legendary Bluebird Cafe and being blown away. “I couldn’t believe the songwriting and incredible musicianship of this girl. I thought, I need to be writing with her!” Erinn says. When the young Nashville native’s label deal ended, she kept thinking that she needed to be partnering with someone like Jude who had as much drive and ambition as herself. Little did she know that a few months later, they would begin a journey together that would change both of their lives for the better.
Guitar player and harmony vocalist, Jude Toy, had moved to Nashville from the Pacific Northwest to pursue her dream of playing and writing music. After working with chart topping hit men, developing a tv show, and building a star studded network of industry friends, she wanted to start up a duo and immediately thought of her co-worker, Erinn. “I had heard a recording of Erinn and thought her voice was unbelievable. I knew she was a great writer as well, so I reached out and asked if she wanted to work together.” Jude says.
Since their first performance as a duo, the girls have gained a tremendous amount of fans and are continuing to take Nashville and country music by storm. They recently won the 2013 national battle of the bands competition, The 2nd Annual Hourly Gig sponsored by Snagajob. With over 100,000 votes cast by the public, the people voted The Darlins as their winner and they won the coveted slot to open for superstar duo, Montgomery Gentry.
The Darlins are currently recording for their first EP and have partnered with their former employer, cosmetic retail giant, Sephora, to play in-store events with plans to develop their own products. This duo is not only comprised of two talented musicians with great songs, but two tenacious go-getters who shoot for the moon in all that they do. There is no doubt that they will be stars. For more information on The Darlins check out www.thedarlins.com and find them on the social networks Facebook and Twitter @thedarlinsmusic.

ODDSLANE is a St. Louis based Rootsy Alternative Pop/Rock band that creates music that fuses diverse influences from a wide range of styles, but maintains the integrity of what has become their own original sound. The band primarily focuses on the material of the award winning singer/songwriter Doug Byrkit, who in 2003 co-founded the group with longtime musical partner Brian Zielie. Doug & Brian are continuing their musical partnership with their first album as ODDSLANE their current release entitled DARK MATTERS.
Doug and Brian’s partnership goes back many years with their first band together while still in high school. Since, they have maintained a close working relationship that has lasted through college and a host of musical projects. Through out their musical careers, they can boast such accomplishments as sharing stages with diverse artist such as Lifehouse, Pete Yorn, The Royal Southern Brotherhood, and Walter Trout as well as having toured Korea, Japan, and the Pacific Rim. As the core members of ODDSLANE, the pair has formed a creative relationship that blends their broad range of musical influences, ranging from The Beatles and Led Zeppelin to Tower of Power and Miles Davis, with their years of experience recording and touring. To the outside observer, it may seem that Brian plays a small role in the creative process, but his influence on Doug over the years has been the spearhead to the evolution of his songwriting.
ODDSLANE (originally under the name The Breakers) was formed in 2003 out of the ashes of several other defunct St. Louis groups (Zito, Flynova, Nadine, and The LP Outsiders to name a few) to work on selected material from Doug’s recent demo projects. Shortly, they began recording and playing live to a steadily growing fan base. This first line up of the group quickly produced two EP’s. The first of which, THE BOTTLENECK SESSIONS, twice earned them attention from the Memphis Regional Grammy Chapter along with some high profile national and international songwriting contests. It also caught the ear of those at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. Sun Studio, most widely known as the studio that gave birth to Elvis, has been recording legends for years. ODDSLANE joined the ranks of legendary artist to record at Sun by invitation on the studio’s part as an effort to promote emerging talent. Both of these recordings were later combined into what became the release simply entitled SESSIONS.
The follow-up recording, SONGS FOR YOUNG EXECUTIVES, is the group’s first full-length album. The album contains 13 tracks loosely based around the theme of corporate greed; a subject Doug had became all too familiar with while working in Corporate America before recently leaving to complete a graduate degree and to devote more time to music. The album is a mix of musical influences and real world playing experience, which along with the solid groove foundation provided by drummer Brian Zielie, merge into what can only be described as a true representation of ODDSLANE’s own unique rock & roll sound. The album’s single “Miles Away” has been featured on the hit television series The Deadliest Catch on The Discovery Channel, and continues to garner attention across the web and other media. The album and single have also gained industry attention among Nashville publishing houses with several independent film score and web placements.
After a successful Kickstarter.com campaign, the group released their 3rd album DARK MATTERS in late 2012, which is the first release under the name ODDSLANE. They have already acquired an endorsement deal with Steve Clayton, Inc. in conjunction with the release of DARK MATTERS and shortly after Doug Byrkit was named 2012 ASCAP Plus Award winner for his achievements in songwriting. The band has begun working the national & international promotional companies which has seen the album begin to chart on internet and terrestrial radio in the US and abroad. The group has secured multiple contracts to license music from the current album to major networks such as MTV, E, Oxygen, Fox Sports, A&E, etc… as well as having placed music already in several independent projects including a full-length documentary by a former WWE Wrestler Nigel McGuinness. In addition, ODDSLANE was selected to appear and perform music from DARK MATTERS on The Chevy Music Showcase, with an entire episode in season 2 of the highly regarded syndicated television series devoted to them. The group plans to continue to promote the current album in 2013 and currently performs in the St. Louis metro and travels throughout the region in several different forms, from full electric band to acoustic solo gigs.

“These picks are comfortable to play and sound perfect. I live in Germany but still order my picks from the States… this means something.”
My name is Max Solo. I am a guitar instructor. I believe that anyone can play guitar with the right motivation, patience and somebody who could show them how to do it right. As for me, I don’t think I had any talent at the time I started to play guitar but my motivation was inexhaustible. I went a long road alone before I found the person who showed me the right and easiest way. Since that time I have had great progress as a guitarist and success in the music business. Now I share this unique experience with my students. Join us in Berlin, Germany.
I’ve been playing guitar since 1996. After studying the instrument with guitar teacher May Lian in 2005-2007 I won the 2nd prize at the Russian National Guitar Competition. I moved to Germany a year later. In 2010 I was chosen by Brian May of Queen out of a huge number of applicants to perform the “We Will Rock You” musical at the Theater des Westens in Berlin. In addition there has been a lot of studio work, 4 CD releases and many bands, projects and shows.
I played/play for:
Various thicknesses of Ultem, Duraplex, and Black Raven picks, Pork Knuckle Slide, Lever-Lock Capo, Pro Shine Polish
“I use Steve Clayton products because I cannot find the reliability, quality, and tone that I want from any other company. I found myself ordering new picks because I lost them not because they wore out. You can’t beat any of their products from their picks to their capos.”
Trevor Smith is a guitarist and bassist from Charleston, West Virginia. He started by playing Blues and Jazz, but has now incorporated both styles into his guitar and bass playing for the up and coming Contemporary Christian group Undone.
Undone is a contemporary Christian band made up of 5 individuals who wanted to share the power of worship through music. Still in their first year of performing, the band has performed at several venues including different churches and charity events. During this this time they have already began recording demos of originals and covers, and are presently making plans to record an EP of original songs.

WHAT I WOULD LIKE YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME
I’ve come a pretty long way both musically and personally. I took the step of moving to the USA from Austria about a decade ago, to play the guitar. Something I wanted to do since the age of 9. Why? Because music told me to. I never had a choice. All I ever did, all I ever really cared about was, is and always will be the electric guitar and music. For I am hopelessly in love, romantically cursed and enslaved by wire&wood for as long as I may walk this earth (And if they don’t have Strats in Heaven or Hell, I’m coming back).
I AM AN INSTRUMENTAL ARTIST
I am coming from instrumental music, that is how I started out; playing guitar by myself. I remember my brother (who I actually make responsible for introducing me to rock music but who was more of a Jazz and Pop music than Rock music fan), always said: “This (rock, metal) music is great until the singing kicks in”. I don’t know maybe that left an impression (probably not as I like that singing^^). Anyway right after I finally got an electric guitar & an amp for my 14th birthday I practiced the world famous amount of “8 hours a day” and beyond.
I was mostly listening to Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Metallica, Scorpions, Megadeth, stuff like that. Then someone gave me a copy of Vai’s Passion & Warfare and so I discovered Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen and Frank Gambale. Those 4 are a big influence on my guitar playing.
As far as bands and songwriting goes, my favorite bands are the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix and Van Halen.
Early on I started to write instrumental music, took an occasional private lesson and participated at music seminars back in Austria (featuring a top notch New York “New School” based teaching faculty). Where others mostly played standards and covers, I was more interested in playing and recording my own original music. Among the jazz crowd -I of course- always was “the weird rock guy” Generally…in my teens, school, dating, partying….all was part of an outside world that had nothing to do with guitar or music, so it just didn’t interest me a whole lot. I truly was a young ninja guitar freak!
After graduating from European grammar school I saved and saved and saved until I had enough money together (along with 2 scholarships, due to some high level performances in Austria and recommendation letters from the clinic staff) and enrolled at GIT Los Angeles. Receiving a “Honorable Mention” for “Finalist in the Instrumental Category” of the “Northern Californian Songcontest” that same year, with my song “For The Art & Somebody Else” gave me hope and strenghtened my belief that I am on the right track pursuing a musical career.
As soon as I graduated from GIT I started doing auditions, which turned my schooled way of learning and playing music upside down. I transformed from a schooled player to a schooled but street wise player. I lived Rock ‘n Roll in the city of angels, came close to hit the big time a couple of times, met some really cool and some really strange people, had my share of living the dream and the time of my life.
During this time I have auditioned, played, worked, recorded, performed and toured with quite a few bands. I am lucky enough to have recorded music at such legendary studios such as Henson (formerly A&M Recording Studios), Paramount, Elementree/Korn, Matrix Studios, etc, performed at the Vans Warped Tour alongside bands such as SUM41, The Used, Pennywise, Rancid etc and performed at most L.A. concert venues.
In 2007 I recorded my first full blown solo record (Freefall Faith Firestorm, 2007 FFF Music). I have since then recorded and released three albums on my own US based label FFF Music: Freefall Faith Firestorm (2007), 8 Bullets (2009), ANIMA (2010) and a few singles the latest being Song Of Ease (2011) and Essay in Light (2011).
I play LIVE as much as I can, which really is not that easy being DIY and on your own label, but I even made it all the way to Rome, Italy to do a couple of my “Where The Guitars Are The Vocals” guitar clinics and some LIVE shows; which was GREAT, and I really wish that I could do that more often…so please, support me by buying my music! ^^
I take care of a lot of stuff myself, as I also play bass and keyboards and program drums on my albums, engineer them and now even do basic editing. You may call me a “control freak”; which I am not by choice. That’s just DIY to the max a la 2012. Hey when there’s almost no money coming in you take care of a lot of things yourself!
Most people nowadays want free music but unfortunately making it ain’t.
So, if you like what I do please buy my music!
Clayton custom picks
“I like my Steve Clayton custom picks, they are a little thicker than the Fender Medium gauge I used to use but now I am used to them and like em a whole lot better. Thanks Steve Clayton Picks!”
Arlington’s Tommy Alverson should be the permanent face of the independent Texas country music movement. He embodies all the hallmarks of the sound, and the mind-set. Alverson is Lone Star proud. He’s artistically beholden to nobody but himself. He loves Americana music, that decidedly Texas blend of country, swing, Tex-Mex, Southern rock, folk and blues. He writes songs, but also has no qualms about recording good material from somebody else’s pen. He’s made a living playing music his way.
Alverson’s new CD, Texas One More Time, encapsulates his creative mantra in 14 songs. He covers expansive territory. You get a classic Texas country anthem (“Texas One More Time”), a honky-tonk corker (“Broken Hearted People”), a swinging country ballad (“Don’t Mind If I Do”), a Western swing number (“It’s Hard to Say for Sure”), a bluesy rave-up (“Sweet Love”), a Tex-Mex nugget (“Move to Texas”) and a humorous ditty (“Willie’s Place”).
Texas One More Time is Alverson’s ninth disc in a career that has been incredibly steady. He’s carved a livelihood playing and recording the music he cherishes in the state he calls home. That’s the epitome of successful. He doesn’t need anything else.- MARIO TARRADELL / The Dallas Morning News
Alverson’s been making music with a Lone Star state of mind – and sound – for decades, yet his popularity is still growing. When he won the 2007 Best Country and Western Music Award from Fort Worth Weekly, the paper declared, “If there is such a thing as Cowtown country music’s elder statesman, he’s it.”
Though Alverson has stood on Texas’ honky-tonk and dance hall stages since way before he could be called an elder statesman of anything, the first time radio really paid attention was with the Jimmy Buffett-ish “Una Mas Cerveza,” a song on 1999’s, Lloyd Maines-produced Me on the Jukebox. Ironically, that one allowed him to quit his 30-year gig with Miller Brewing Co. so he could hit the road and sing his songs. – FW Weekly
Tommy Alverson fiercely hews to the time-honored Texas country music tradition—a little swing, a little twang, a lot of heart. He’s a mentor, producer, festival promoter, songwriter and singer who takes responsibility for keeping boot marks on the honky-tonk hardwood floor. – BUZZ MCCLAIN
Whenever I see Tommy’s name, I know I’m in for a real country music experience. – Robert K. Oerman-Nashville, Tn.

“I like my custom ANGER WITHIN Clayton Delrin picks, because they’re tough, durable, & they don’t slip out of my fingers, during a performance! My Clayton picks take a good thrashin’, & still hold up…Clayton hella rocks!”
ANGER WITHIN, (based in Atlanta GA, USA) fuses metal, hardcore punk, and militant, death-like vocals to create a brutal, non-compromising form of heavy thrash, guaranteed to excite open-minded audiences everywhere. Ignited both by a passion for thrash, and an anger at injustice, ANGER WITHIN introduced itself onto the scene in the ’90′s, and was founded by members Wulf, (Vocals/Guitar,) Oz, (Guitar,) and John, (Bass.) Establishing various rhythm sections throughout the next couple of years, the band headed to Frozen Sound Studios and recorded three demo tapes, produced by Kim Monday, that laid the ground work, for intense, dynamic innovations to come.
ANGER WITHIN broke into the “underground” tape trading scene with these demos. Each new tape emphasized a heavier sound and aggressively focused on themes few death metal bands dare to touch – world oppression, gang violence, environmental distress, loss of friendship – along with brutally outspoken lyrics challenging man’s inhumanity to man. Over the years, many people have described their sound as thought provoking, heavy, straight to the point…and ultimately, original metal/hardcore music, with political and socially concerned lyrics.
The live experience of ANGER WITHIN, has been compared to the energy of a SEPULTURA, NAPALM DEATH, or early-METALLICA show. The band has played at quite a few festivals & venues, in several states. Cities include, Pittsburgh PA, Uniontown PA, Charlottesville VA, Washington D.C., Martins Ferry OH, Fairmont WV, Grafton WV, Bridgeport WV, Clarksburg WV, Parkersburg WV, Huntington WV, Wheeling WV, Clemson SC, and of course their hometown of Atlanta GA. The band has also performed with national touring acts such as, EXCRUCIATING PAIN, KARMA TO BURN, TWO MAN ADVANTAGE, BYZANTINE, THY WILL BE DONE, ORIGIN, SWORN ENEMY, DYING FETUS, KINGDOM OF SORROW, SOILENT GREEN, MADBALL, PRIMER 55, D.R.I., MALEVOLENT CREATION, & THE VANS WARPED TOUR, (ATLANTA,) just to name a few! THIS JUST IN: THE BAND WILL BE PLAYING THE ATLANTA STOP OF THE VAN’S WAPRED TOUR 2012!
With the three cassette demos and two full length CDs, (both produced by Josh Swiger and recorded at Blues Alley Studios,) under their belts…the band has received mail, and support from all over the world such as, Russia, England, Japan, France, Mexico, and of course the United States. The band has played or been featured on Brutal Existence Radio, WCLG, U92, and has even been on the airwaves in France.
2012, brings a new era, a new chapter for the band! The band plans to reinvent itself, into a better, heavier, uncompromising, steamrolling unit! Wulf states: “Anger Within has been overlooked & underrated for way too long. I’m sick of seeing all these bands, who claim to be “metal,” or “hardcore,” but yet, they have no heaviness, no heart, & no soul to their music! I take metal & hardcore, very seriously…it’s more than just a hobby to me…it’s a lifestyle! With two killer 4 song E.P.’s finally recorded, (“26″ by Brian Neely @ Ultragod Studios, & “Fiction To Reality by Ronnie Winstead @ Virtual Adrenaline Studios,) both being released by New Zealand based company, Satanica Records…Anger Within’s fight for world domination, rages on! ANGER WITHIN – THRASH ‘TIL DEATH!
