We just endorsed Jason of The El Caminos! Here is a little bit about the band from their website: If there is a common “happiness” thread through all people it would me music. Right? Rich or poor; young or old; every walk of life; everyone likes music! And along with music goes entertainment! Who doesn’t like to be entertained? Put those two items together and you have The El Caminos. The band was put here to do just that: Play music and entertain people! They feel it’s their mission to make people smile, forget their cares for a little while, help people let loose, enjoy themselves, sing along like no one’s listening, dance a little (or a lot) and just have a great time in general! A lot of you that are reading this right now probably know something about the history of the band in some form or another; either you’ve discovered them recently and are new to the game or you’ve been around the block with them a few times and have seen the band grow… Either way, they’re going to include a short history of the band here, so hang on: It all happened way back in 1990. Jason was taking guitar lessons and he decided that he wanted to start a band. He knew that Jeff played drums. So they talked things over. Jeff knew James and knew that James could actually sing. So they talked things over. The three of them decided to form their first band together. They discovered that music was in their blood. They started out by playing Steve Miller and Mötley Crüe covers in Jeff’s parents’ basement. Through learning their instruments and playing shows the guys all grew up together as bandmates and friends. That band, which eventually came to be known as Silver Tears, played many shows all over Northeast Iowa and eventually all over the Midwest. In 1995, an album of original music was recorded and peddled. Many more shows were played in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado and etc…The band eventually split up in 1997 and the guys all moved away and formed bands of their own. Some time passed and the guys found themselves living near each other again and the draw of playing music together just couldn’t be passed by. In 2005 they formed this thing that we now call The El Caminos. It started out as a “for fun” kind of thing, but the response to the band was so overwhelming that they couldn’t stop with just a few shows. They just kept on going and here they are today. Jason is still playing guitar, James is still singing, Jeff is still playing drums and Casey is playing bass guitar. The point of this short band history lesson is to point out that the boys have been playing together a LONG time. They’ve got a friendship and tightness that can’t be faked. You can see the love of friends, love of music and love of entertaining every time they step onto the stage and into the lights together. The band is a cover band. They play other artists’ songs. It’s true. They don’t pretend they wrote the songs that they cover but they do take pride in playing them well and making them their own and they work even harder at entertaining the audience. By picking out the tried and true sing-a-long songs that seem to touch everyone they inspire and promote their credo; Great Music and Great Times!

Guns Out At Sundown is a band based out of Western Maryland, finding its beginnings in 2007 with the name LenorAstray. Original line-up included: Jamie Peterson-bass/lead vox, Mike Dennis-guitar, Nathaniel Raley-guitar, and Trav Hensley- drums. Shortly after, we introduced long-time, childhood friend Christopher Tepper to drums, and moved Trav to lead vocals. After many discussions, and a drive for more, the band changed its genre to create a heavier sound. In 2008, Nick Miller joined the band to fill the position of guitarist, but left the band after recording our first professional demo. In 2009, we added Ryan Crosco to the roster. The band recorded its full-length album entitled, “The Comfort In Chaos”with Johnny Burke at Chin Music Studios in Cleveland, Ohio (www.reverbnation.com/vibestudios) in November of that year, but due to a few personal issues, the band took hiatus, planning to return stronger than ever once our lives were back on track. In early 2011, Ryan Crosco decided to leave the band, with Nick Miller rejoining and filling the slot. Now, with a new name, and our final puzzle piece, Andrew Hill on bass, we’re back. Look for the album to release independently soon, along with a music video with FBS Films, and brand new merch.

This week’s Pick of the Week was created by Jeff Latham for the Jeff Latham band. We really liked the full color logo that was printed on our white pearl rounded triangle picks. Here is a little about Jeff and his band: “Growing up in West Texas on a heavy diet of mom’s Johnny Paycheck and dad’s Don Williams, Jeff Latham was greatly influenced by the country classics which is decidedly evident in his voice. From George Jones and Hank Williams Jr. to contemporary country artists Toby Keith and Jason Aldean. The Jeff Latham Band’s set list attempts to strike a balance between the old and the new with stops in the Texas singer/songwriter scene along the way. Their “Rocky-Tonk” style essentially captures the essence of Texas dive-bar country. Sit down, have a drink, or get up and dance. Either way, you will enjoy the show. Ádammo is the revelation of teen pop rock music in Latin America. Ezio, Nicholas, Renzo and Diego are Ádammo, four teenagers that share one same dream and one same passion: music. The band’s name originates from a Greek dialect that means “The pleasure of doing something”, in this case, the pleasure of making music. It all began in 2008, when Adammo decided to participate in the biggest contest of music in Peru called “Garage Band” organized by Studio 92, the country’s most important radio station. More than 500 bands around the country participated and Adammo won. This launched the band to popularity creating a new musical movement in Peru and Latin America called Power Pop. Towards the end of the year, Adammo’s first video for their single “Sin Miedo” began to rotate in the well-known TV channel MTV Latin America (MTVLA). In two weeks it was among the 10 most requested videos and eventually reached the top of the ranking of “The 10 + voted MTVLA” for more than 30 days. In early 2009, Adammo contacted Kandavu Productions, a renowned entertainment company in Peru, who agreed to manage the band. Now as a team, the band recorded their first album “Sin Miedo” and began a short but successful tour around Peru, gaining passionate fans that still follow them today. The band presented their first album “Sin Miedo” at venue that holds up to 3000 people. An unforgettable party took place: fans waited for hours in line, tickets were quickly sold out, girls and boys were screaming and singing every single song and finally, after the rock show, every single fan got the autographs of their favorite band in a 2 hour autograph signing event… Adammo is now officially a fever within Peruvian teenagers. Eventually, the opportunity to perform in big music festivals came. The first one was opening for Mexican band Camila with more than 10 000 attendees, who knew little or nothing about Adammo, but this didn’t intimidate the band and the crowd responded cheerfully. After this, the band was invited as an opening act for artists such as Beyonce, Backstreet Boys, and more…Adammo’s second single, “En Tus Suenos”, also spent more than 30 days between the most voted videos, as well as reaching MTVLA’s first place in “The 100 most requested videos of 2009”. The success of these videos led MTVLA to nominate them in the MTVLA 2009 Awards in 3 different categories award, winning the category for “Best New Central Artist”. In early 2010 Adammo travels to California to record their latest production “Amber”, leaded by Grammy-nominated producer Joe Marlett at Signature Studios in San Diego and Chalice Studios in Los Angeles. In this album, the band decides to record their first song in English “Catch Me”. The band’s video for their single “Algun Dia” is Peru’s largest audiovisual production yet. This video had such an impact in the Latin American audience, that towards the end of 2010, the Latin Grammys nominated “Algun Dia” for Best Short Video, making them the youngest Latin band nominated yet.
“Amber” is then released in early 2011 in a music festival leaded by Adammo called “Amber Fest” with national and international guests such as Andrea Guasch, who is featured in the English and Spanish versions of their latest single and video “Siento Que Caigo”/“Catch Me”. The band eventually becomes a phenomenon of social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, becoming an important and basic tool for the band’s marketing strategy. Thanks to the internet, language and distance isn’t a barrier for the band, who have already received messages all the way from Japan, Indonesia, Italy, Spain and others through the band’s Verified Twitter Account as well as Ezio’s, Nicholas’s, Renzo’s and Diego’s Verified Accounts… Twitter names Adammo as the most recommended and influential people to follow in Peru and Latin America. Most recently, Adammo has been nominated for the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards as World Wide Act Latin American that will take place this upcoming November 6th in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland. In these 3 years of musical career, Adammo has appeared in different TV shows such as MTVLA’s hit teen series “Ninas Mal”, as well as Nickelodeon’s latest series “Grachi” with the songs “Hechizo De Amor” and “Algun Dia”. The band had the opportunity to appear in one of Grachi’s episodes performing both songs that are part of the original Grachi Soundtrack. Musically, producer Joe Marlett defines Adammo as a “great new band with a very interesting musical purpose, mixes with great results rock’s aggressive style and pop’s versatility. The songs have a very good handle on composition and mixes; that along with the solid distortion from the guitars and the strength of the vocal interpretation, give as a result a disc (Amber) with a new sound and full of energy”. Adammo is this and much more… It’s an energy that exists between four brothers; Ezio, Nicholas, Renzo and Diego.
