Well, March is just around the corner and we have already started noticing the designs that are indicating the coming of St. Patrick’s Day. Eric Church is one of our endorsed artists and we just wanted to let you know he is one of country’s hardest working artists. We could say working a little bit too hard after last fall.   While performing in New York, he was stomping so hard on stage that he hurt his ankle. He still finished the show and is ready to set the stage for his 2010 tour with our Clayton custom picks. Here are the picks you might get at one of his shows if you’re lucky. He’s already sold out for this Thursday’s show at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville.  Church’s picks are the white pearl rounded triangle with the gauge at 1mm.  The white delrin 1mm standard pick is another choice for Church. He has a top 10 hit with his song “Love Your Love the Most,”
one of his songs on his new Carolina album. Another big hit on the album is “Hell On the Heart.” Eric is a rising star that we are excited to follow this year. We look forward to supporting Eric Church during his 2010 tour.

One of the pick materials that we use here at Steve Clayton is called Ultem, and it is often overlooked when designing custom picks. While the Ultem picks are slightly more limited in the area of design because they can only support three different colors, they are appreciated for their durability and strong playing quality. When designing Ultem picks, users of our custom site may submit any design that contains black, brown, and/or red colors. These three colors can make for an appealing combination against the light tan color of the picks. The result is a classic, sometimes rustic appearance. We have received feedback from many people who say that they are highly satisfied with these picks, both for their usability and long-lasting designs. The Artisan Guitar pick shown here is a perfect example of a strong design for the Ultem picks because of the rich brown color and the smooth, distinct lines. These picks are a great choice for advertising, and graphics always look professional on the semi-tranparent material.

We shipped out a whole lot of picks today for York Region Transit, which is a transportation system up in Canada.  They are holding a contest that supports their local bands. Which we thought was so cool of them to do within their community.   The pick material is a custom blue color to match their logo. We wanted to share with everyone that our employee of the month for February is Juana!!!  Juana is one of our employees that we employ in factory with a developmental disability. One of our goals as a company is to give back to society, and we do this by providing jobs for individuals in our community that have disabilities.  For over 20 years continuously we have employed disabled individuals in the production of our products.  We average about 25 of these individuals at at time. With about a quarter of them working on location in our factory.  Everyone loves having Juana around! She always is friendly and is quick to make everyone smile.  Juana was awarded a custom pick necklace with her name on it for being a super star in our packaging department!

Congratulations to Ian Severson becoming our new endorsed artist!  Severson currently is the guitarist for the band Future Leaders of the World. In 2004 the band was formed in Buffalo, New York recording a demo in Los Angeles.  They signed with Epic Records for their full release of LVL IV featuring the hit “Let Me Out.”  Future Leaders of the World has their sound comparable to the Nirvana grunge.

Severson has also played as guitarist for the band Gingerjake.  He was given the name as “shrediculous” while playing with Gingerjake in 2003.  The band recorded with producer Cameron Webb who also produced Tenacious D.  “Karats” was a big hit getting lots of airplay on the Mpls station 93x.  Congrats again Ian for becoming our new endorsed artist!  We look forward to supporting you with our Clayton guitar accessories and specialized custom picks.
