We just finished up an order for the Foo Fighters this week. We’ve been making picks for the Foo Fighters for several years now.
This time they went with a patriotic color scheme and got red, white and blue logos printed on the Acetal, Rounded Triangle, .63mm for an upcoming performance. They also ordered there usual pick with the blue FF logo on the Acetal, Standard, .5mm. They mostly order this one, and you may have seen it in the samples on our website. They have ordered Black Raven, several of the Delrin, and Acetal in the past. We always have a lot of fun here with their orders since they suprise us often with new artwork and new material choices, we never know what to expect

We have been so busy around here! We have been doing tons of really neat orders, but just haven’t had the time to post them on our blog. Today we finished up a very large order of picks for McDonald’s. They really turned out great! We used a matte white Delrin pick, and Glossy Black ink for the print. At Clayton we have both matte and glossy inks, and we use whichever ink will work best for the art and look its best on the pick. This really gives us the ability to give the customer the ultimate in quality product. The combination of the matte pick with the glossy ink really makes the graphic pop on this order! Not to mention McDonald’s did a really outstanding job on their artwork! This is one of my favorites that we have done this month. We are also working on another large pick order for McDonald’s so we will keep you updated once that one comes out of production.

We just got finished with an order for James Otto. He went with a completely different design since he has a new single and album coming out. The new design looks great!
I just went over to his myspace to check out his new single, “Since you brought it up”. Like his other songs this one is great, and the lyrics rock! I especially liked the chorus, it’s pretty catchy. Jame’s personally uses our Acetal, Rounded Triangle, 1mm picks. If you haven’t had a chance to here his new single yet it is definently worth checking out (available on his myspace, linked above)! Also, his myspace has a list of all his upcoming shows if your interested in checking him out live.

Red and Black always seem to turn out flawless together.
These are some that we just imprinted this week. This combination is one of the most popular color schemes that we imprint. The Cherry and IRAL pick is a good example of what kind of coverage of solid black we can imprint. We often get many orders with a solid black background and just a name or small logo on it. We usually do not accept this for imprinting because it tends to not turn out quite so well and with past orders we had complaints about the outcome. Now we recommend that you do not imprint the pick with more then 50% coverage of a single solid color. The way the IRAL pick uses a large white imprint and some red with the blackĀ we were able to print it flawlessly. The Cherries use a little more black, but as you can see put together it’s not more then 50% coverage so it turned out well too. If you are looking for a black background, we would really suggest getting our Black Raven picks instead. Speaking of black raven we should have included a scan of one with red on it. The red and white really look great on our Black Raven. You can check out examples of this on an older post of mine named Black Raven.

We just completed a batch of picks for Little Big Town’s Philip and Jimi.
Jimi uses the orange delrin, and Philip uses the acetal .80mm. The band has a great sound to it! I think I’ve said before that I’m more of a rock person, however, I’m getting more into country. They have really catchy lyrics, and the music makes you want to get up and dance! I am definently adding some of their songs to my ipod now
. They were just recently nominated for 2 CMT awards, (you can vote for them by clicking here). Also, if your lucky enough and in the area you can check them out at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on June 9th.
